Kang, owner of the professional soccer team Washington Spirit, has pledged $30 million to the girls and women’s programs of U.S. Soccer, the organization announced on Tuesday. In fact, some borrowers are still paying off debt from last year's purchases. To that point, 28% of shoppers who used credit cards have not paid off the presents they bought for their loved ones last year, according to a holiday spending report by NerdWallet. A jury found Nevada official Michele Fiore guilty of misusing $70,000 meant for a memorial. The statue was to honor a Las Vegas police officer killed in the line of duty. Prosecutors said funds were spent on personal expenses like rent, plastic surgery, and a wedding.
