The base GOP voters Trump is most focused on aren’t necessarily the same voters who are key to the coalition Snyder is trying to build. The Summary BrucePac, a producer of precooked meat and poultry, has recalled nearly 10 million pounds of ready-to-eat food items because of a listeria risk. A recall of nearly 10 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and chicken products affects items sold at major stores nationwide, including Trader Joe’s, Wegmans, 7-Eleven and Kroger. The list of recalled items consists primarily of premade salads, burritos and wraps containing chicken, sometimes alongside other meats, like bacon or ham. In July, Boar’s Head recalled more than 7 million pounds of deli meat over listeria concerns. An earlier recall of cheese products from dairy maker Rizo Lopez was linked to two listeria deaths and more than 20 hospitalizations.

They're just a few of the destinations trying to lure away the U.K.'s uber wealthy ahead of proposed changes to the country's divisive non-dom tax regime. They will also be prevented from avoiding inheritance tax on assets held in trust. The majority (83%) cited inheritance tax on their worldwide assets as their key motivator for leaving, while 65% also referenced changes to income and capital gains tax. Where the wealthy are movingIt comes as other countries are shaking up their tax regimes to incentivize wealthy investors. Ultra-wealthy U.K. citizens, who are typically highly active in the super-prime market, are also in "wait and see" mode ahead of possible changes to capital gains and inheritance tax.

Sopa Images | Lightrocket | Getty ImagesLONDON — The U.K. is leading a recovery in Europe's long subdued office real estate market, with overall investment in the sector expected to pick up further in the second half of the year. Overall, European office investment transactions in the first half of the year fell 21% year-on-year to 14.1 billion euros, Savills data showed — a 60% decrease on the five-year H1 average. Europe's divided recoveryThe U.K. real estate market was the first in Europe to undergo a significant contraction following its peak in 2022. "London is leading the way a bit, partly because it repriced earlier and quicker and more significantly," Kim Politzer, head of research for European real estate at Fidelity International, told CNBC over the phone. "The Man with 1000 Kids" docuseries spotlights Jonathan Jacob Meijer, a man from The Netherlands who has admitted to having 550 children around the world. In 2023, he was banned from donating sperm to new families. He was open with her about being a sperm donor and claimed that he had fathered over 70 children. This large increase in fertility has allowed me to help get many women pregnant; my years of being a sperm donor attribute to this success.

Read previewJonathan Jacob Meijer, the prolific sperm donor who is the focus of the show "The Man with 1000 Kids," said that his children should use a symbol on social media to avoid unwittingly having incestuous relationships. Meijer confirmed that he fathered 550 children during the 2023 court case, and it's unclear why Netflix chose the title "The Man with 1000 Kids." He suggested that his children should use a symbol on social media as a way of avoiding incest. A narrator reading the court transcript in the docuseries said: "The defence argues that if they are worried about incest, his donor children can use a social media symbol to identify themselves as one of his children." In an interview broadcast on Wednesday on BBC Radio 4's "Woman's Hour," the host asked Meijer if he really thought social media was a good way for his children to identify themselves.

But as data emerges on degreeless hiring, there are signs that some of these efforts may be falling short. It's based on limited data and doesn't consider alternative pathways that people without degrees use to join organizations, such as through apprenticeships and internships. But it's still a snapshot look at how some of the top employers in the U.S. are doing in their efforts to hire more workers based on skills versus degree attainment. Rather, it implies managers may be reticent to hire people without degrees, absent specific policies to assess these workers' skills. Companies that have been successful with skill-based hiring also articulate clearly the skills they require for a job, even before posting it.

By Gabriela BaczynskaBRUSSELS (Reuters) - The European Union's chief executive voiced confidence on Wednesday that all 27 member states will agree to jointly extend more financial aid to Ukraine. Hungary has resisted agreement on an aid package, raising the possibility of the other 26 countries giving funds to Ukraine under separate bilateral deals with Kyiv. But Ursula von der Leyen, who heads the executive European Commission, told EU lawmakers: "I am confident that we will find a solution by 27." EU leaders last month agreed to start accession talks with Ukraine but Hungary vetoed granting 50 billion euros($54 bln) in aid for Kyiv through 2027. The prospect of 26 countries giving aid to Ukraine under separate bilateral deals with Kyiv is one alternative that is under discussion.
