He also would often film his sexual abuse, according to the filing. Both Linda and Vince McMahon were aware of Phillips’ abuse, the lawsuit alleges. In 2023, the Maryland Child Victims Act, which repeals the statute of limitations in certain child sexual abuse civil lawsuits, became law. Linda McMahon worked in Trump’s first Cabinet as the administrator of the Small Business Administration before stepping down in 2019 to chair a pro-Trump super PAC.

CNN —WWE’s parent company knew Vince McMahon — the founder of the wrestling behemoth — was a potential liability. That risk was realized Thursday when a former WWE employee accused McMahon of sexual assault and trafficking in a disturbing and graphic lawsuit. The company said McMahon has since repaid the company about $20 million for misappropriated corporate funds and for the legal fees TKO and WWE paid to investigate McMahon. Vince McMahon, Jr., was more akin to a king than a business executive in the world of WWE, his fingerprints on everything. “I have pledged my complete cooperation to the investigation by the special committee, and I will do everything possible to support the investigation,” McMahon said in a statement at the time.

HINES, Ill.—Every Thursday, Bob McMahon —often in his trademark Marine Corps sweatshirt and ball cap—volunteers in a food pantry at the Hines VA Hospital in suburban Chicago that helps veterans, active-duty troops and hospital employees. Mr. McMahon, 63 years old, who served in the Marines just after the Vietnam War and left the service as a Private First Class, was homeless when he first came to the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital program in 2013, which he credits with saving his life. The pantry serves more than 100 veterans a week, said Kerry Thomas, a licensed clinical social worker at Hines.
