Good friends help each other get better business deals, just like Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg. Stewart told The Wall Street Journal that she "learned how to negotiate even better than ever" from the rapper. They first met on "The Martha Stewart Show" in 2008, during which they made mashed potatoes together. "She presents an opportunity, we present it to a network and we make some things happen," Snoop Dogg told People in a September interview. As good friends, they also help each other get better business deals, Snoop Dogg said.

In an interview with the New York Times, Stewart praised the first half of Netflix's "Martha" while describing the rest as "a bit lazy." She told the newspaper over the phone that she felt the film spent too long on her time in prison and lacked color. "The trial and the actual incarceration was less than two years out of an 83-year life," Stewart said. In 2017, Stewart described her time in federal lockup as a "horrifying experience" and that "nothing" was good about it. "And that’s the thing I like most about the documentary," Stewart said.

I tried Martha Stewart's favorite way to make scrambled eggs. Stewart said using clarified butter makes "the best scrambled eggs in the whole world." My scrambled eggs with clarified butter looked beautifully golden, and tasted silky and creamy. So when I heard she had a new favorite way to make the best scrambled eggs, I knew I had to try it.

CNN —Martha Stewart may be hot in the kitchen, but she’s not looking to replicate that on a dating reality show. During an appearance this weekend on Andy Cohen’s messy and drama-prone Bravo talk show, “Watch What Happens Live,” Martha Stewart stoked the fires of a feud between herself and her fellow culinary mogul, Ina Garten. The pair has long presented a familiar dichotomy to the world of homemaking television, with Ms. Stewart, 83, as the blonde perfectionist and Ms. Garten, 76, as the friendly brunette. They became close friends in the 1990s, but have since had a falling out — and they have decidedly different views of what transpired. Here is what you need to know about the feud and whose side Snoop Dogg is taking. During a segment on Mr. Cohen’s show, he asked Ms. Stewart, who was on set with her frequent companion Snoop Dogg, if she had read Ms. Garten’s memoir, “Be Ready When the Luck Happens.” The memoir, which was published on Oct. 1, details Ms. Garten’s difficult childhood and her road to culinary fame.

I went to Las Vegas, and there are a few things I would and wouldn't do again. Though Las Vegas is known for gambling, I didn't think playing the slots was worth it. White-collar criminals who can't disconnect are spending thousands of dollars on prison cellphones. Contraband phones go for $1,000 or as little as a few hundred dollars, depending on supply, at minimum-security camps, the so-called Club Feds. The stakes are particularly high for Wilson; his office continues to prosecute a violent, 90-defendant drug ring run by imprisoned people using contraband cellphones. The bureau urges Congress to pass the Lieutenant Osvaldo Albarati Stopping Prison Contraband Act, which would upgrade the charge of smuggling contraband cellphones into a Federal prison from a misdemeanor offense to a felony, Murphy said. White-collar criminals tend to put their contraband phones to more benign uses.

It's a luggage maker best known for one product, a grooved aluminum suitcase with a rabid fan base. Despite this, the suitcase company (along with cashmere maker Loro Piana) continued their "excellent momentum," LVMH said. It's "another step in the fashion space," Bonnet-Masimbert said, and a hint of how the company hopes to progress in the coming years. For a company so synonymous with luggage, it was an "interesting challenge," the CEO said — one that took three years to develop. "We feel we are very legitimate in that space, and that opens a lot of future product offerings," Bonnet-Masimbert said.

People walk through the financial district by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on August 14, 2024, in New York City. But one of the most damaging insider trading schemes in recent years can't be linked back to a U.S.-based trading floor or brokerage firm. As detailed in CNBC's new original podcast series "The Crimes of Putin's Trader," Russian entrepreneur Vladislav Klyushin's scam amassed more than $93 million as his cybersecurity firm M-13 was a front for Russian hackers to steal U.S. corporate earnings reports before they became public. Then, hackers traded based on those insights, buying and selling stock of well-known American companies like Tesla, Skechers, Snapchat and Roku. "Finances and banks and [the] financial sector itself is just one of the battlefields where the whole thing is happening."

The corporate world reeled this week after a superyacht carrying the British software mogul Mike Lynch, his family and associates and others sank on Monday during a violent storm off the coast of Sicily. Of the 22 people on the yacht, 15 were rescued and seven bodies were recovered, including that of Mr. Lynch, an official in the Italian city of Palermo confirmed. The bodies of two other prominent business figures — Christopher J. Morvillo, a top white-collar defense lawyer, and Jonathan Bloomer, the chairman of Morgan Stanley International — were among those recovered. That’s why, he said, he invested in AppHarvest, a startup that promised a high-tech future for farming and for the workers of Eastern Kentucky. Despite promising local jobs, the company eventually began contracting migrant workers from Mexico, Guatemala and other countries, numerous former employees told CNN. After about a week on the job, Vance took a meeting with AppHarvest founder Jonathan Webb, as Webb later recounted in a Fox News podcast interview. The company’s health care benefits attracted Morgan, a single father, who told CNN he took a pay cut to join the startup. Such comments ring hollow to some former AppHarvest workers, who argue Vance’s rhetoric as a candidate for vice president doesn’t align with the reality they experienced.
