☆ New 'Star Wars' trilogy in the works from Lucasfilm

Lucasfilm is developing a new “Star Wars” trilogy with Kinberg set to write and produce the three films with studio chief Kathleen Kennedy. This will begin a new series after “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac, concluded the original nine-chapter “Skywalker Saga” in 2019. Disney currently has Jon Favreau’s “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” a continuation of the Disney+ series about the helmet-wearing bounty hunter (played by Pedro Pascal), on the calendar for May 22, 2026 along with two untitled “Star Wars” movies set for Dec. 18, 2026 and Dec. 17, 2027. Lucasfilm has several other “Star Wars” projects in the works — from filmmakers such as James Mangold, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Taika Waititi and Donald Glover — but it’s ambiguous which of these will be the first to hit the big screen. He’s also attached as a producer on Paramount’s next “Star Trek” movie from director Toby Haynes.

The site also lists the dress as a “historically significant piece” that “is the only Princess Leia costume known to still exist from the original film.”Costume Designer John Mollo created the gown for Fisher’s legendary character Princess Leia. SYDNEY, March 3 (Reuters) - Hannah Diviney, diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth, is hoping Walt Disney Co (DIS.N) will create a princess character with disabilities, spearheading a campaign that has garnered support from Reese Witherspoon, Jameela Jamil and Mark Hamill. "The campaign is basically to create a disabled Disney princess and the reason for that specifically is because Disney princesses are the ones that get the most visibility," Diviney told Reuters in an interview. Diviney began an online campaign for Disney to create a princess character with disabilities in 2020 and the petition has now received 64,000 signatures.
