Bitcoin rose above $93,000 for the first time on Wednesday, adding to its postelection rally, as traders pored through October inflation data. Traders were digesting the most recent consumer price index, which showed prices increased 0.2% in October, bringing the 12-month inflation rate up to 2.6%. Bitcoin, which has recently benefited from a big postelection rally across risk assets, is seen by many investors as a hedge against potential fiscal policy that could spark inflation. The rest of the crypto market sold off as investors took profits from the past week's rally. Most bitcoin miners, including Mara Holdings , Riot Platforms , CleanSpark and Iren , formerly known as Iris Energy, tumbled double digits.

As bitcoin shoots to new heights, some stocks that trade closely with the digital currency could also see their fortunes rise. Against that backdrop, CNBC Pro screened for stocks that have the highest positive correlation with bitcoin over the past 60 days, meaning they could rise in tandem. Fellow crypto miner Riot Platforms was also on the list with an 81% correlation to bitcoin. Lesser-known names that could see a boost on further bitcoin appreciation include crypto miners Bitdeer Technologies and Hut 8 . While "boring" bitcoin has been chopping sideways since March, bitcoin proxy MicroStrategy is trading at its highest level relative to the flagship crypto since 2019. Wolfe Research managing director Rob Ginsberg said he "loves [MicroStrategy's] chances to get out and continue climbing," but that the stock is overbought in the near term. "On a relative basis vs. BTC, the stock is at its highest level since 2019," Ginsberg added. Bitcoin is up 41% for the year, while MicroStrategy has gained 193%. MicroStrategy, which tends to be a high beta play on the cryptocurrency, is expected to follow.
