As a result, employees around the world are taking matters into their own hands, learning to use AI tools on their own. Food waste is so prolific in the U.S. that roughly one-third of the amount produced ends up in landfills rather than stomachs. A recent study published in the journal Science found food production accounts for 26% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Food delivery services like HelloFresh, Blue Apron and EveryPlate reduce that somewhat by sending consumers what they need for specific recipes. The company says its processes help lead to 80% less food waste at its facilities compared with a traditional supermarket. The smart ring era is here. Honor, the mobile business spun out of Huawei, also announced this week that it's working on a smart ring. Avi Greengart, president and lead analyst at Techsponential, told Business Insider at MWC that Samsung's Galaxy Ring "validates the smart ring category." Rumors of an Apple smart ring have been simmering for over a decade — mostly due to a string of patents the company has filed for. There's another good reason tech companies are eyeing smart rings right now, according to IDC analyst Francisco Jeronimo: subscriptions.

Global supply chains moving away from China is an opportunity for Southeast Asia, said one Malaysian minister. Southeast Asia countries could take the chance to attract manufacturing investments, he said. Liew Chin Tong, the deputy minister of investment, trade, and industry in Malaysia, thinks supply chains moving to other parts of Asia isn't exactly a bad thing. Liew's comments came amid intense global discussions on the future of supply chains following disruptions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Manufacturers are now allowing processes to have some breathing room in what's known as the "just-in-case" supply chain model because "they want resiliency" in the supply chains, Long added.

But it sent the case back to a lower court to determine whether the contested agreement violates asylum seekers' right to equal treatment under the law. But the court also found an unaddressed question when it comes to whether the agreement violates equality rights. The agreement stands and the case will return to federal court to determine whether the agreement violates asylum seekers' right to equal treatment under the law. Refugee advocates claimed the agreement violates that right because they argue the United States is less receptive to refugee claims predicated on gender. In March, Royal Canadian Mounted Police intercepted 4,173 asylum seekers on their way to file refugee claims in Canada after crossing irregularly.

Customers of a restaurant watch the announcement made by Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob dissolving the parliament and calling for general elections at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, October 10, 2022. "The people's mandate is a powerful antidote for the country to manifest political stability and create a strong, stable and respected government after the general election," Ismail said. UMNO is trying to win back its dominant position by pressing for early elections, having recently won state level elections. CORRUPTION FIGHTWith the dissolution of the parliament, Ismail, who came to power in August 2021, becomes the shortest serving prime minister in Malaysian history. Canada is trying to extend the agreement so it applies across the entire land border. The influx could be as simple as pent-up demand following pandemic border restrictions Canada lifted last fall, said University of Ottawa immigration law professor Jamie Chai-Yun Liew. "The Safe Third Country Agreement violates people's rights and needs to be torn up because of that. But also, from a very practical perspective, tearing up the Safe Third Country Agreement would mean that Roxham Road would be closed down."
