Irenic also wrote it believes the Murdoch family and other super-voting shareholders should be paid a premium if a conversion to a single-share structure happened. A vote to dissolve the dual-class structure at News Corp nearly a decade ago failed, although it was supported by 90% of non-Murdoch shareholders. The number did not take into account any new subscribers the Post may have added since Friday or any subscribers who have since re-subscribed, the paper reported. The Post reported it began seeing a surge in cancelations within hours of the announcement. “I wish we had made the change earlier than we did, in a moment further from the election and the emotions around it,” Bezos wrote. Caroline Ellison, whose testimony helped convict her former boss and ex-boyfriend, disgraced cryptocurrency mogul Sam Bankman-Fried, was sentenced Tuesday to two years in prison for fraud and conspiracy. Ellison, 29, accepted a plea deal to charges of conspiracy and financial fraud in December 2022, a month after FTX spiraled into bankruptcy. Bankman-Fried was convicted of all seven criminal fraud charges against him and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Lawyers for Ellison had asked that she be sentenced to time served and supervised release, citing her cooperation. Ryan Salame, a former top lieutenant of Bankman-Fried, was the first of the FTX executive team to be sentenced.

CNN's Alisyn Camerota announced that her husband, Tim Lewis, died in July, two years after he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
