The iShares MSCI EAFE ETF (EFA) offers exposure to developed market stocks outside of the US and Canada. Exchange-traded funds like the Schwab Emerging Markets Equity ETF (SCHE) or the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF (VWO) are one way to invest in emerging market stocks. "The CAPE ratio of global real estate is currently 13.3, well below its average of 19.4 since 2000," Swinkels said.
