CNN —A woman who flew as a stowaway on a Delta Air Lines flight from New York to Paris earlier this week remains in France after causing a disturbance on a flight scheduled to take her back to the United States Saturday, according to two law enforcement sources. The woman was removed from the would-be return flight before takeoff in Paris, the officials told CNN. Nearly 2.7 million passengers traveled on airplanes that day, ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, according to TSA data. The stowaway is a woman between 55 and 60 years old and has a Russian passport, according to an airport official in Paris. New York City real estate broker Rob Jackson was on the Delta flight when the stowaway was discovered and told CNN that passengers were told to stay seated after landing so police could board the plane.

CNN —A California man was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after he allegedly tried to check two suitcases containing more than 70 pounds of clothing caked in methamphetamine – including a cow pajama onesie – on a flight to Australia, federal prosecutors said Tuesday. Law enforcement extracted more than one kilogram (two pounds) of meth from the suitcases, the statement said. Matharu was intercepted at his gate and admitted to owning the suitcases, according to the court records. The clothing was likely “washed” in methamphetamine and left to dry, the court records said. Matharu is free on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in Los Angeles, according to prosecutors.

CNN —An FBI special agent who was acquitted of attempted murder in a DC Metro shooting has been charged with raping and assaulting two women in Maryland, police said Monday. Eduardo Valdivia, 40, has been suspended from the FBI pending a police investigation, a spokesperson for the bureau’s Washington field office told CNN. “The FBI takes allegations of criminal violations and misconduct very seriously,” the field office said in a statement. Islamabad, Pakistan CNN —A smog-choked province in eastern Pakistan has issued a rare plea for cross-border collaboration with India, as major cities in both countries endure severe air pollution that risks the health of millions. “We are suffering in Lahore in a way due to the eastern wind corridor coming from India,” he said. Lahore, home to more than 14 million people, saw its air quality index surpass a record 1,900 in one part of the city on Saturday, according to IQAir, which tracks global air quality. Experts say India’s air pollution is so bad that smog could take years off the lives of hundreds of millions of people.
