The village and other parts of the region were seized by Russia early in the war and recaptured by Ukraine in September 2022. Un spital în care erau tratați pacienții cu COVID-19 a fost grav avariat de explozia unui obuz, tras, probabil, de rebelii separatişti, în noaptea de marți spre miercuri. Unitatea medicală se află în Krasnohorivka, regiunea Donetsk, și trata aproximativ 45 de pacienți în momentul atacului, potrivit unian.info., citat de b1.ro. Geamurile clădirii au fost spulberate, iar ventilatoarele pacienţilor aflaţi în stare critică s-au oprit, după ce curentul electric a fost întrerupt. Unul dintre bolnavi a făcut stop cardiac şi a murit a doua zi după bombardament. Spitalul se află la doar câţiva kilometri de linia frontului dintre armata ucraineană şi separatiştii susţinuţi de Rusia.
