Our NFL writers addressed these topics and more in making one prediction for every team heading into the season’s second half. The fourth-year back is on pace to finish with 1,256 yards, which would be the fourth-highest total in team history. Every other NFL team has put a player in at least one of those categories during that stretch — and most teams have checked both boxes. Minnesota has one of the most productive defenses in the NFL and an offense loaded at the skill positions. And the Eagles have managed to win games despite bad luck and bad decisions.

She did it in the name of rejection therapy, a popular trend on social media that encourages people to ask strangers odd requests that will most likely get a “no” in response. Here’s what Wilmer and other experts have to say about this social media trend and how to ensure these challenges are beneficial and not harmful. Jiang had blogged about himself performing rejection therapy for 100 days after being inspired by a card game Canadian entrepreneur Jason Comey originally developed. At the beginning of the challenge Panning felt she had to hype herself up and brace herself for the answer she thought would come. And while many of her requests resulted in rejection, Panning said she was surprised to find that sometimes strangers would instead say yes.

PARIS — It’s 1:00 a.m. on the banks of the Canal de Saint-Denis and the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony finished an hour ago. But the political and social turmoil France faced before a ghostly metal horse galloped down the Seine has not gone away. French President Emmanuel Macron at the Paris Olympic Games. Optimism aside, analysts believe the country faces years of deadlock that could end with a far-right president in 2027.

BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - Argentines sought shade and tried to cool off in public fountains on Thursday as a heat wave hitting the country saw temperatures rise towards 40 degrees Celsius (104°F). "Everything is melting, everything is melting," said Diego Gatti, a 34-year-old merchant in Buenos Aires, adding that at least near the coast there was some access to water and a breeze. The South American country is home to some 45 million people and an important grains producer of soy, corn and wheat. "The heat spreads from the roof through the house, you just can't stay there. But it wasn't until the team reviewed sonar data in December that they saw the fuzzy yellow outline of what resembles a plane. “In the end, we came out with an image of a target that we believe very strongly is Amelia’s aircraft," Romeo told The Associated Press. But he said that Romeo’s team must provide “a forensic level of documentation” to prove it’s Earhart’s Lockheed. He would have expected to see straight wings and not swept wings, like the new sonar suggests, as well as engines.

They were taken at a depth of 16,400 feet, about 100 miles from Howland Island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, which Romeo's team considered one of the likeliest areas for Earhart's plane to have come down. Amelia Earhart is photographed with her Lockheed Model 10-E Electra, the aircraft she used in her attempted flight around the world. “While it is possible that this could be a plane and maybe even Amelia’s plane, it is too premature to say that definitively. In Earhart’s last communications, her radio transmissions progressively got stronger as she got closer to Howland Island, indicating that she was nearing the island before she disappeared, Cochrane said. For that reason, you can never say that something is (or isn’t) from a sonar image alone,” Jourdan said in an email. Confirming that the found anomaly is Earhart’s plane would require returning to the site to further investigate the plane, and more definitively, locating the certification “NR16020” that was printed on the underside of the missing Lockheed’s wing, Jourdan said.

Argentina's Milei Says Shutting Central Bank 'Non-Negotiable'

BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - Argentina's President-elect Javier Milei said on Friday that the closure of the country's central bank, a signature campaign pledge, was a "non-negotiable matter", according to a statement from his office posted on social media platform X. Argentina's social security administration ANSES, a key institution given Milei's pledge to slash state spending and subsidies, will be lead by economist Osvaldo Giordano from the key central Cordoba region, the statement added. That marks a shift from a previous plan that Milei would appoint a close ally to lead the administration. Milei faces major hurdles to implement his more radical reform plans, which include dollarizing the economy, shutting the central bank and privatizing state companies like YPF, which will take time if they can be done at all. Milei also has to juggle demands from the more mainstream conservative bloc, whose public backing was key to him winning the run-off election last week.

That hurts exporters who often have to bring most of their overseas sales back into the country at the official rate, getting fewer pesos for each dollar. While the government has rolled out exchange rate sweeteners for farmers, giving them a better rate, many producers are waiting to see what Milei does when he takes office. Idigoras said the lack of beans for the huge crushing plants that turn soybeans into oil and meal along the Parana River meant the facilities were operating at greatly reduced capacity. "Today we are at 73% average idle capacity in the crushing plants and 75% idle capacity in the grain ports," he said. He added that the crushing plants were bringing forward stoppages for technical maintenance due to the "impossibility" of being able to keep operating.

Milei, who is pledging economic shock therapy such as shutting the central bank and dollarization, won a second-round runoff vote on Sunday with some 56% to rival Sergio Massa's 44%. Milei now faces the huge challenge of turning around the economy once he takes office on Dec. 10. "It is an economy that is in intensive care," said Miguel Kiguel, a former undersecretary of finance at the Economy Ministry in the 1990s. A central bank poll of analysts forecast 185% inflation by the end of the year. In a bid to tamp down inflation Argentina's central bank has hiked the benchmark interest rate to 133%, which encourages saving in pesos, but hurts access to credit and economic growth.
