San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall scored his first NFL touchdown Sunday — just 10 weeks after being shot in the chest. Pearsall started Sunday’s game along with Samuel and Jennings, the first time that combination has been used this year. Pearsall’s touchdown also came on a deep crosser against zone coverage — the type of play Aiyuk made regularly last season when he led the 49ers in receiving yards.

CNN —San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall will be activated for the team’s Week 7 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan, seven weeks after he was shot in the chest during an attempted robbery in San Francisco’s Union Square. He’s been around the guys for a while now, so it’s not like he hasn’t been around, but practicing all week,” Shanahan said. “He’s got roles on special teams, he’s got his role at receiver, and we’ll see how the game unfolds. San Francisco has been ravaged by injuries throughout the season, with star running back Christian McCaffrey still on injured reserve and yet to play this season. Nearly 12 months later, coach Kyle Shanahan can't even imagine what life would be like without McCaffrey driving the Niners offense. The midseason addition of McCaffrey last year immediately transformed the 49ers from a middling offense into one of the most productive. McCaffrey currently is in the top 10 for odds to win the award, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. I knew he was really, really good and really special and could do a lot of things conventional running backs can’t do.
