CNN —Week 10 of the NFL season was one full of drama, talking points and some big solo performances. Chris Coduto/Getty ImagesMurray also became the first player in NFL history to complete 85% of his passes with 250 passing yards and two rushing touchdowns. “I think the quarterback was the best player on the planet today,” Gannon said.

But it may allow Russia to reorganize and push forward, and if it works North Korea can send more. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Wednesday that the reports of North Korea sending soldiers to Russia was “fake and hype,” local media reported. "I am very concerned," James Stavridis, a retired U.S. Navy admiral and the former supreme commander of NATO forces, told MSNBC yesterday. And if a North Korean soldier is killed with NATO weapons how does the often unpredictable Kim respond? This week South Korea summoned the Russian ambassador, seeking the “immediate withdrawal” of North Korean troops from Russia.

Plus, "Meet the Press" moderator Kristen Welker previews next week's vice presidential debate. Harris seeks to neutralize immigration vulnerability as the politics tilt rightBy Sahil KapurKamala Harris is aiming to neutralize a political vulnerability and rebut Donald Trump’s core campaign message today as she takes her tough-on-migration stance to the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona. Trump has long held a clear advantage among voters on immigration, though NBC News polling shows that edge is narrowing. CNN —Thousands of Florida residents have been forced to evacuate as the state prepares for rapidly strengthening Tropical Storm Helene, which could bring powerful winds, flooding and life-threatening storm surge to areas already hard-hit by recent hurricanes. CNN —Britain’s approval of its first new deep coal mine in decades was unlawful, London’s High Court ruled on Friday following a legal challenge brought by environmental campaigners. Friends of the Earth and South Lakeland Action on Climate Change challenged the previous Conservative government’s 2022 approval of a coking coal mine in northwest England. Britain dropped its defence of the legal challenges after a Supreme Court ruling earlier this year said planning authorities must consider the impact of burning, not just extracting, fossil fuels when deciding whether to approve projects. Developer West Cumbria Mining fought the case and said the project — which planned to extract coking coal for manufacturing steel, rather than to generate electricity — would be “a unique ‘net zero’ mine”. A spokesperson for West Cumbria Mining said the company “will consider the implications of the High Court judgment and has no comment to make at this time”.

Still, as the U.S. men’s team starts its Olympic run Sunday, it begins with a roster that has drawn countless comparisons to the Dream Team. On paper, the U.S. men’s team is arguably the best team assembled since 1992. Durant is the most prolific scorer in U.S. men’s history and could, if the Americans win gold in Paris, become the most decorated Olympic men’s basketball player. A loss in the knockout stages, when there are no more second chances, and a Dream Team redux becomes a historic nightmare. In that scenario, the U.S. men’s team would be remembered forever, even if not quite held in the same reverence as the Dream Team.

CNN —A federal grand jury in Miami charged rapper Sean Kingston and his mother each with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and five counts of wire fraud, according to an indictment filed last week and announced Friday in a news release from the US Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Florida. Kingston, 34, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, and his mother, Janice Turner, 61, were arrested in May on fraud and theft-related charges after a SWAT team raided Kingston’s home. “We look forward to litigating this case and defending Sean in federal court,” Kingston’s attorney Robert Rosenblatt told CNN. According to the indictment, Kingston and his mother obtained more than $1 million in property through their alleged scheme. The wire fraud incidents took place between April 11, 2023 and March 29, 2024, the indictment alleges.
