CNN —A gold watch gifted to the captain of a ship which rescued more than 700 passengers and crew from the Titanic has sold for a record-breaking £1.56 million ($1.97 million). The gold pocket watch was inscribed with a message from the three surviving widows to mark their "heartfelt gratitude and appreciation" for Captain Rostron. The previous record for a Titanic-related object sold at auction was also a pocket watch, which sold for £1.175 million ($1.485 million) earlier this year. For auctioneer Andrew Aldridge, the latest sale is a sign that interest in the story of the Titanic shows no sign of slowing down. The watch was sold to a private collector in the US and the sale figure includes fees and taxes paid by the buyer, according to PA media.

"Terminator: Dark Fate" Paramount"Terminator" and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," both directed by James Cameron, are two of the best action movies of all time. "Judgment Day" also ends on a definitive note, with our heroes preventing the evil computer system known as Skynet from ever being invented. And "Terminator Genisys" fully ignores all the events of the previous films and is yet another reboot. "Dark Fate" is certainly better than the three previous films, but it was ultimately unnecessary and, according to Screen Rant, was a huge box-office bomb.

With OceanGate closed for business, the market for Titanic sub tourism appeared to slam shut. One leading sub operator, eager to demonstrate that the Titan sub failed to live up to the industry standards that can make trips to the ocean floor relatively safe, is already planning its own journey to the wreckage of the Titanic, where Titan was headed before it collapsed. But in its pursuit of “increasing access to the deep ocean through innovation,” OceanGate frequently skirted regulations and pushed back against industry standards. 2) OceanGate’s sub designs were so experimental, no other commercial sub operation would ever replicate them. “The deep ocean is no place for compromise,” Triton said in its statement.
