But what was most impressive about this game was the Packers’ defense. Love has to be better and the offense will have better days, but the Packers defense was lights out. The Lions are the best team in the NFC at the moment, maybe even the best team overall. But the Lions looked like the best team in the division heading into the season, and they looked like the best team in the division on Sunday. CNN —The Chicago Bears kicked off Week 6’s Sunday action by moving to 4-2 as they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 35-16 in London, England. The matchup was officially listed as a Bears home game, and it certainly had the atmosphere of one. Ian Walton/APWilliams and the Chicago offense struggled mightily to start the game, only mustering seven yards of offense in the first quarter. A series of defensive penalties helped Chicago move the chains with the drive culminating in another Williams TD pass to Allen to start the fourth quarter. The Jags scored again via another Lawrence to Davis touchdown pass but were unable to make any further inroads into the Bears lead.

The wide receiver was driving to the Dolphins-Jacksonville Jaguars game on Sunday when Miami-Dade police stopped him just outside Hard Rock Stadium, handcuffed him and put him face down on the pavement. WARE, England (AP) — Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller says it's a “safe bet” that he'll make his season debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Miller, who sustained a knee injury last November, said Friday there's a “94 1/2 percent” likelihood of him suiting up at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. “I am excited to play American football in front this crowd,” said Miller, the NFL’s active leader in sacks. He tore a ligament and sustained cartilage damage in his right knee during a win at Detroit last Thanksgiving Day. Under NFL rules, Miller opened a three-week window in which he’s allowed to practice before he’s required to be activated or returned to the injured list.

It's a long way from the Wembley mudfest in 2007 when the New York Giants beat the Miami Dolphins 13-10 in the first London game. The league said the NFL Academy's TikTok channel has the highest engagement of its channels on the the popular video-sharing app. The NFL won't overtake the Premier League for popularity in Britain but it says it has 14 million fans with 3 million deemed “avid” fans. Results of a survey by media consulting firm Altman Solon indicate good consumer trends for the NFL in Britain. Sitting in a chair next to the record player, I’d play the song over and over and over, listening tearfully. When my favorite TV characters died, I’d mourn them, staying in my feelings for days at a time. Eventually I met a therapist who practiced cognitive behavioral therapy, an approach whose orientation toward problem-solving suited me. I’d learned to register, name and acknowledge my feelings as a way of managing them rather than being overwhelmed. Sadness sneaked up on me as I tried to describe my emotional life to people who I knew loved me but with whom I communicated through a haze of mutual discomfort.
Investor Steve Leuthold had a second home, on Bailey Island in Maine. As a high-school student in Albert Lea, Minn., in the mid-1950s, Steve Leuthold led a rockabilly band called Steve Carl & the Jags, sounded a lot like Elvis and even recorded a few songs in Memphis. Later, he was known among friends as a tireless party animal. He owned a bar near Minneapolis, invested in a brewery and married three times, including once in a saloon. At his summer home on Bailey Island in Maine, he grew potatoes.
The Jacksonville Jaguars trailed the Los Angeles Chargers 27-0 in the opening round of the NFL playoffs and just about everything that could go wrong had gone wrong. Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence had thrown four interceptions—in the first half. The Jags muffed a punt. They looked precisely like the sort of team that squeaked into the playoffs with a middling record simply because they played in a crummy division. And that’s because that’s how they reached the postseason.
