The Supreme Court issued a decision Thursday preserving the Indian Child Welfare Act.
The law aims to keep Native American kids in tribal families in foster care and adoption cases.
This was the third time the Supreme Court has taken up a case on the IWCA.
In the not-so-distant past, Native children were stolen from the arms of the people who loved them," Biden said in a statement.
Matthew McGill, who represented the Brackeens at the Supreme Court, said he would press a racial discrimination claim in state court.
