Read previewEarlier this month, Disney walked itself into a PR nightmare. Jeffrey J. Piccolo named the entertainment giant in a wrongful-death lawsuit in February after his wife, Kanokporn Tangsuan, died at a restaurant in Disney Springs in Florida. Disney backtracksOne X user called the Disney+ argument "very dystopian," while others encouraged people to cancel their subscriptions in retaliation. Kanokporn Tangsuan, a 42-year-old doctor in New York, died in October 2023 from anaphylaxis after eating at a restaurant at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World in Orlando, according to the lawsuit. Walt Disney World's Disney Springs is home to a number of shops, restaurants, and attractions. This includes "any related disputes involving The Walt Disney Company, its subsidiaries, or its affiliates," the terms say. Piccolo agreed to the terms again when he logged into his Disney account to book tickets for Walt Disney World's Epcot park, Disney said. "Whether Piccolo actually reviewed the Disney Terms is also immaterial," the company's lawyers wrote.

Both West Ham and Italy's Fiorentina - whose solitary European successes came over half a century ago - are treating Wednesday's showdown like a World Cup final, though it was difficult spotting supporters of the Serie A side in Prague. Fiorentina, who lost to Real Madrid in the second European Cup final in 1957, won the first edition of the now-defunct Cup Winners' Cup in 1961. They lost in the final the next season and lost to Juventus in a two-legged UEFA Cup final in 1990. read moreWest Ham won the Cup Winners' Cup in 1965 for their only moment of continental glory. They lost in the 1976 final and the closest they have come since, excluding their 1999 Intertoto Cup victory, was last season's Europa League semi-finals.

“I WANTED TO be a priest,” said João Paulo Campos, the owner of Velho Adonis, a bustling boteco, or Brazilian-style tavern, in Rio de Janeiro. “This bar became my church instead.” Indeed, after drinking countless draft beers as a regular, Mr. Campos, 41, bought Adonis three years ago and renovated the 60-plus-year-old establishment, making his devotion to these idiosyncratic watering holes complete. “A boteco isn’t just a place to drink,” he said of his calling. Often opened by immigrants and operated in informal grocery-style shops, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, some botecos found themselves on shaky footing. In 2019, initial warnings about the closure of Bar Luiz—known for the best chopp, or draft beer, in Rio—prompted mourning from Cariocas of all stripes.
