Elon Musk says OpenAI's Ilya Sutskever wouldn't have fired Sam Altman unless it was necessary.
"Ilya has a good moral compass and does not seek power," the former OpenAI board member said.
"He would not take such drastic action unless he felt it was absolutely necessary," Musk continued.
OpenAI's board said in a statement that Altman "was not consistently candid in his communications with the board" but has not given further details.
