A video showing a looping rainbow installed at Paris’ Arc de Triomphe to celebrate Pride month 2023 is a virtual animation. The video, showing a rainbow weaving through the Arc de Triomphe, could be traced to a June 1 social media post by digital content artist Ian Padgham with the caption “Arc-en-ciel de Triomphe, Paris. The recorded footage from the event shows no Pride installation at the monument (here). Pride-themed rainbow artwork was not installed at Paris’ Arc de Triomphe in June 2023. A video showing the installation is animated.
