Before that, on Friday, Elon Musk’s super PAC, America PAC, published a video to X calling Harris the “C-word” before going on to call her a “Communist.” The advertisement was deleted from America PAC’s X account Monday. Musk and America PAC did not respond to requests for comment. The video shared by America PAC and Musk is watermarked with the creator’s online handle. And in an advertisement published Friday, America PAC repeatedly emphasized that Harris is a “C-word” — alluding to a vulgar term for women — before going on to call her a “Communist.”“Kamala Harris is a ‘C-word.’ You heard that right, a big old ‘C-word,’” the America PAC video says. Kamala Harris, the ‘C-word’ America simply can’t afford.”America PAC has spent nearly $140,000 on political ads endorsing Trump’s campaign or attacking Democrats, according to the nonprofit OpenSecrets.

“Hey hey, ho ho, thank you, Joe, it’s time to go!”The success of former President Donald Trump’s campaign is becoming a catastrophe for sitting President Joe Biden. A fundraising appeal from the Biden campaign says, “How does a guy who used to say that Donald Trump and his policies were ‘reprehensible,’ become Donald Trump’s running mate? But Trump’s remarks in his hometown, New York City, which went for more than an hour, were overshadowed by comments made by warm-up speakers in the roughly five hours before his prime-time address. Republican presidential nominee and former U.S. President Donald Trump speaks during a rally at Madison Square Garden, in New York, U.S., October 27, 2024. Andrew Kelly | ReutersRepublican presidential candidate Donald Trump headlined a rally at New York's Madison Square Garden on Sunday that began with a series of vulgar and racist remarks by allies of the former president. Danielle Alvarez, a senior adviser to the Trump campaign, told Reuters that the joke about Puerto Rico "does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign." Harris's campaign in an email said the Madison Square Garden rally was "mirroring the same dangerously divisive and demeaning message" as Trump. Trump's 2016 presidential opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton, has accused him of "re-enacting" a pro-Nazi rally that was held at Madison Square Garden in 1939 on the eve of World War Two.

Now that I'm older, I'm learning to accept my body. But after 25 years of regular gym time, I'm finally OK with not looking like an Adonis. My primary health goal was to look good naked. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that "look good naked" can translate to "voluntary starvation." So, while I've never managed to look like a fitness model, I now realize that I still look pretty good for my age.

Almost half of young women have at least a bachelor’s degree compared to 37% of young men. That compares to 2008, when Barack Obama won the votes of 66% of young men. One of the biggest financial pressure points for young men has been higher rents, which are up around 20% since 2020. Young men are more likely to be financially dependent on their parents compared to young women, with 74% of women describing themselves as mostly financially independent compared to 62% of young men, according to a Pew survey. I think Trump will do better with young men than among young women — the gap will be pretty significant in terms of voter support — but I don’t think Trump’s going to win an overwhelming majority.

CNN —All signs suggest that the partisan divide over changing gender roles in society could widen even further in the 2024 election, adding a new source of uncertainty to a contest already on a knife’s edge. That was only the latest example of his campaign signaling its support for traditional gender roles. “The messaging on gender coming out of the campaign broadly is very much about reaffirming traditional roles for women and for men,” Cassese said. In PRRI polling this year, nearly half of Republicans agreed with two absolutist statements about gender roles. His problem is that most voters outside the core GOP coalition are generally comfortable with the changes in gender roles and family dynamics since the “Father Knows Best” era in the 1950s.

The two women with very similar names offer a snapshot of the different surrogate pools for Trump and Harris. The courting of celebrity endorsements is a long-running tradition in presidential politics and one that Democrats generally win. Swift criticized the fake posting, saying it was part of the reason she is backing Harris’ campaign. Even as he downplayed Harris’ level of celebrity endorsements, Trump has tried to use people with celebrity status to appeal to specific voter blocs. Shortly after Swift backed Harris, Trump said she would “probably pay a price” for the endorsement, and five days later on Truth Social he made his bluntest and most direct attack on Swift.

Harris’ viewership victory amounted to a blow for Trump, who is famously obsessed with television ratings and the size of his crowds. The boost in viewership was also seen at ABC with 4.2 million viewers, and CNN with 3.9 million. Last month’s Republican convention in Milwaukee took place just days after the assassination attempt on Trump. As pressure mounted, Biden ended his campaign the weekend after the Republican convention. The singer had previously given the Harris campaign permission to use her 2016 hit “Freedom,” which played Thursday night as Harris took the stage.

Trump’s plan for blunting Harris’ momentum, some Democrats believe, could reprise elements of the 1988 presidential campaign that George H.W. “I think the Harris campaign has to be prepared for it.”The two sides are already hotly contesting the terrain of strength. Celinda Lake, a Democratic pollster who conducted surveys for Biden’s 2020 campaign, said his strength deficit to Trump had become a nearly insurmountable obstacle for his 2024 campaign. The surveys have also found a huge gender gap in the assessments of whether Harris and Trump are strong. Most important, voters have reached these initial assessments of Harris’ strength before Republicans have really begun their campaign to portray her as weak.

You know, Hillary Clinton, who was, I think, kind of a terrible candidate, won the popular vote by two points. So I don’t think they gave her a very good hand to play. It doesn’t matter who you are, it matters that you’re right and you’re able to prove it or bet on it in some way. What wasn’t in the Harris model that should have been?” “Yeah, maybe you really can meme your way to victory. Read previewFor what now feels like a fleeting moment this summer, former President Donald Trump seemed to be on top of the world. When reached by Business Insider about reports that Trump is frustrated over the Harris campaign's momentum, Steven Chueng, the Trump campaign spokesperson, called it "fake news." AdvertisementAt a press conference at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, he again claimed Biden had "the right to run" but that Democrats "took it away." Sen. Lindsey Graham, a close ally of Trump, even acknowledged to the Post that the campaign has "hit a few speed bumps." For now, here's what we know — and what we don't know — about stem-cell therapy for knees. Bryan Johnson flew to the Bahamas to get MSC stem cells injected into his knees, hips, and shoulders — for about $16,500 per joint. Plus, even Sampson warns that young donor stem cells should not be seen as a quick fix or a panacea. Done with proper medical oversight, some studies have found no adverse effects from stem-cell treatments for various conditions. Botched stem-cell treatments can cause infection, blindness, and excessive cell growth, which can trigger the formation of tumors.

Officials quickly moved to tailor the Chicago convention to Harris with only four weeks, in part drawing from the 2008 convention when Barack Obama accepted the nomination given the historic candidacy of Harris herself. Nominee acceptance speeches for the convention, which begins the week of August 19, are currently scheduled for that Wednesday and Thursday night, according to convention officials. Hollywood gets on boardThe Hollywood community is clamoring to support Harris at the DNC, according to numerous agents, publicists and Democratic strategists who spoke to CNN. No performers have been set yet, though various representatives for musicians have been in talks with the Harris campaign, according to two sources. For instance, besides Megan Thee Stallion’s performance at her Atlanta rally earlier this week, Harris had the support of the rapper Quavo, who spoke about gun violence prevention.

Suddenly, Donald Trump looks enlightened about women. Sure, he’s in a 1959 time warp, like some spray-tanned, comb-over swinger in a Vegas lounge, talking about skirts and broads. Sure, he filled the Supreme Court with religious zealots ending women’s rights. He cheated on his first wife with the woman who became his second wife and then had flings when he was married to his third wife. And yet, somehow, Trump managed to choose a vice-presidential pick whose views on women are even more draconian and meanspirited than his own.

He sent the crowd into a frenzy as he ripped that shirt, tearing the flag on it in half, to reveal a Donald Trump campaign shirt beneath. While she isn't yet his official opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris' mere presence could provoke such a reaction. Years later, Trump deeming former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton "a nasty woman" remains a badge of honor for Democrats. Trump's former foes have turned his attacks into rallying cries, a response that Harris and her allies are likely to use. "Sarah, you're smart, you're beautiful, you're tough, and they attack you because you're good at your job," Sanders said.

But while some pundits have argued his speech showed he is more subdued and humble in the wake of last week's failed assassination attempt against him, others aren't so sure he's changed at all. And some political scientists and experts on authoritarianism warn Trump could become even more radical after his near-death experience. We are one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all," Trump told the RNC crowd as he briefly read messages promoting unity from a teleprompter. Not everyone is certain Trump will change much in the wake of his assassination attempt — for better or for worse. If the assassination attempt does change Trump, the effects may not be immediately apparent — though they are worth being on the lookout for.
