“GMA3” co-anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are no longer with ABC News, a spokesperson for the network said Friday, after news of their affair surfaced in December. "After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News," an ABC News spokesperson said in a statement. Gio Benitez and Stephanie Ramos filled in for Holmes and Robach for the week while the company made a decision. On Dec. 2, while hosting "GMA3" with Robach, Holmes poked fun about the “great week” the pair had. “I am very excited about the weekend.”Both Holmes and Robach deactivated their Instagram accounts since their relationship made news.

Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of disgraced biotech firm Theranos, bought a one-way ticket to Mexico shortly after she was convicted of fraud last January, a court filing submitted Thursday alleges. Holmes was found guilty on four counts of lying to investors on Jan. 3, 2022. Shortly thereafter, federal prosecutors allege in the filing, Holmes bought a flight to Mexico departing Jan. 26, 2022 without a scheduled return trip. "Only after the government raised this unauthorized flight with defense counsel was the trip canceled," prosecutors say. U.S. District Court Judge Edward Davila ordered Holmes to surrender herself into custody by April 27.

CNN —Elizabeth Holmes made an “attempt to flee the country” by booking a one-way ticket to Mexico in January 2022, shortly after the Theranos founder was convicted of fraud, prosecutors alleged in a new court filing Friday. Holmes was convicted last January of defrauding investors while running the failed blood testing startup Theranos. “The government became aware on January 23, 2022, that Defendant Holmes booked an international flight to Mexico departing on January 26, 2022, without a scheduled return trip,” the court filing states. In an earlier court filing, her attorneys argued for her release from custody pending appeal, saying she was not a flight risk or a threat to the community. “There are not two systems of justice – one for the wealthy and one for the poor – there is one criminal justice system in this country,” prosecutors stated in the filing.

But on Friday, while hosting the afternoon extension of “Good Morning America” with Robach, Holmes poked fun about the “great week” the pair had. Both Holmes and Robach deactivated their Instagram accounts since their relationship made news. NBC News reached out to Robach and Holmes’ representative, Matthew Hiltzik, who said the journalists have no comment at this time. T.J. Holmes was briefly a contributing anchor on MSNBC.

A federal judge has denied Theranos Inc. founder Elizabeth Holmes' request for a new trial, setting the stage for her sentencing on fraud charges later this month. U.S. District Court Judge Edward Davila issued a ruling late Monday stating Holmes failed to establish that government misconduct had occurred during her trial. Davila delayed Holmes' sentencing and granted an emergency hearing last month after a visit to Holmes' residence by a key witness came to light. The witness, former Theranos lab director Adam Rosendorff, had allegedly told Holmes' current partner, William “Billy” Evans, that he had “done something wrong” during the trial with respect to his testimony. Holmes, 38, has been out on bail; according to the Associated Press, when asked after the October hearing if she was pregnant, Holmes didn’t respond but smiled warmly.
