Air travel is being disrupted by strong winds and wildfires in Los Angeles. Several airlines have waived change fees for flights to Los Angeles and Orange County. The wildfires devastating Los Angeles and the strong winds intensifying them are also disrupting air travel in and around the city. A flight passenger traveling from Denver to Los Angeles captured footage of the Palisades Fire tearing across neighborhoods as the plane was making its descent into Los Angeles International Airport. The Los Angeles Fire Department said 12 helicopters and six fixed-wing aircraft are in operation.

Southwest Airlines said Tuesday that executive chairman and former CEO Gary Kelly will retire next year and announced a board shakeup, moves that come as the carrier faces pressure for changes by activist investor Elliott Investment Management. Shares of oil giants and European infrastructure companies can act as a hedge against inflation while also delivering strong annual growth, according to fund manager Freddie Lait. Lait manages two funds — the Latitude Horizon Fund and the Latitude Global Fund — with more than $750 million of assets collectively and holds all three stocks in both funds. Jay Leno said his face caught fire last month in the garage fire that hospitalized him for more than a week. Leno, 72, the former “Tonight Show” host, shared details about the fire at his Los Angeles garage and his injuries in an exclusive interview that will air Wednesday on NBC's "TODAY" show. Leno had serious burns to his hands and chest and third-degree burns to his face after his vintage car erupted in flames Nov. 12 in his Los Angeles garage. He returned to stand-up days after he was released from the burn center with a sold-out performance at the Comedy & Magic Club in California. Leno, the host of reality series “Jay Leno’s Garage,” is well-known for his love of cars.
