According to Pitchbook, Polansky is also cofounder of VC firm Hawktail; executive advisor at private equity firm Cove Hill Partners; senior advisor at boutique VC growth investor 7 Global Capital; and partner at investment firm Unless Management. Gaga also founded the nonprofit Born This Way Foundation, which focuses on mental health and youth empowerment, in 2012.

Read previewAn uptick in disciplinary actions during Emma Tucker's reign at The Wall Street Journal has unnerved the newsroom, and now a former Journal reporter has filed a lawsuit challenging them. The lawsuit, filed by Stephanie Armour, alleges that she was fraudulently targeted for dismissal starting in April 2024 despite excelling in her job. Some said they saw the moves as a way to get rid of high-earning employees who are protected from being fired without cause by Journal publisher Dow Jones' union, IAPE. It was formed after Rupert Murdoch's acquisition of Dow Jones in 2007 to allay concerns of Dow Jones' longtime former owners, the Bancroft family. Dow Jones and editorial leadership haven't immediately responded to requests for comment from Business Insider.

☆ Jezebel to Be Resurrected by Paste Magazine

Jezebel, the famed feminist website, is set to return less than a month after it was shuttered. Paste Magazine, a music and culture outlet, acquired Jezebel on Tuesday and planned to start publishing on the site again as soon as Wednesday, said Josh Jackson, a co-founder and the editor in chief of Paste. “The idea of there not being a Jezebel right now just didn’t seem to make sense,” Mr. Jackson said. Jezebel, once part of the Gawker universe of websites, brought a brash new kind of internet writing to feminist issues when it was introduced in 2007, paving the way for a generation of like-minded outlets. In 2019, the private equity firm Great Hill Partners bought Jezebel as part of what is now called G/O Media, a portfolio of digital news outlets that includes Gizmodo, Deadspin and The Root.
