In the complaint, Turner said he told Mitchell not to enter the hotel but saw him do so and beg for money. Mitchell gets up and attempts to reenter the hotel but is pushed back outside, where Turner, Johnson-Carson and Williamson surround him. Hotel security footage appeared to show him striking Mitchell once with a closed fist, according to the document.

First Republic's chief risk officer sold shares two days before the Silicon Valley Bank implosion. Today, SVB stock remains halted but is essentially at zero after Silicon Valley Bank was taken over by the FDIC and SVB Financial filed for bankruptcy. First Republic Bank executives also managed to sell stock right before the crash. All-in, insiders at First Republic Bank sold about $12 million in stock in 2023 at an average price of just below $130 per share.

Shares of First Republic were up sharply in early Tuesday trading as concern over the state of the regional bank appeared to ease after a day of heavy selling. Shares of other regional banks also surged before the bell. First Republic Bank has been able to meet withdrawal demands on Monday with the help of additional funding from JPMorgan Chase , the bank's executive chairman told CNBC's Jim Cramer. Jim Herbert told Cramer that the bank was not seeing massive outflows of deposits and that the business was operating as usual. Herbert declined to say specifically how much had been withdrawn, Cramer said. First Republic announced Sunday it had received additional liquidity from the Federal Reserve and JPMorgan.
