A few years back, she began thinking about AI after working on a fashion game tied to a line she designed for Walmart. The tagged imagery is fed into the AI model to train it. “It took us about a month to get it to the right point,” said Cyril Foiret, founder and creative director of Maison Meta. Foiret said they essentially had to develop a mini AI model just for that. Last year, she contacted Maison Meta, which was creating a name for itself through projects like organizing the first AI Fashion Week with Revolve.

The winners designed their collections using AI image generators Midjourney and Stable Diffusion, and in some cases editing in Photoshop. RevolveSabral is "eager to share my unique vision that bridges the worlds of architecture, fashion design, and technology," he told Revolve in a statement. But in Abbasi’s view, one of the key learnings from AI Fashion Week is that the technology can also allow people who don’t necessarily have training in fashion to produce innovative designs.

CNN —This week, by far the most feverishly discussed outfit didn’t come from a member of the Kardashian clan or an off-duty model. Instead, it was Kristina Avakyan (known on TikTok as @subwaysessions), a New York resident who pushed the boundaries of style with a look that was anything but average. In a TikTok that’s now been watched over 1.9 million times, Avakyan paces across her runway (the 6 train subway platform) in what has become a deeply polarizing outfit. The outfit has been seen over 1.9 million times on TikTok and 62 million times on Twitter this week. The phrase “#personalstyle” has more than 858 million views on TikTok, and in 2022 the New York Times fashion critic Vanessa Friedman wrote about how to capture it.
