The 60-year-old did return to the game by the end of the quarter and coached the rest of the game on the sidelines. Afterwards, Harbaugh said he left the game with an arrhythmia, also known as an irregular heartbeat. “I’ll always remember the one in 2012, it was during the Monday night game,” Harbaugh told reporters on Sunday. Harbaugh also recalled telling Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert ahead of Sunday’s game that he felt unusually pumped up. “I don’t know if I’m really fired up for the game or this is my arrhythmia kicking back in,” Harbaugh recalled telling Herbert.

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh left the sidelines in the middle of the team’s game on Sunday due to what he said afterward was an “atrial flutter,” in which his heartbeat went out of rhythm. Harbaugh’s brother, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, abruptly left the team’s postgame press conference after being informed that Jim had experienced a health issue during the Chargers game. What happened to Jim Harbaugh during the Chargers game? The term “sinus rhythm” Harbaugh used refers to the heart’s normal rhythm. The Baltimore Ravens’ 30-23 win over the Washington Commanders had concluded while the Chargers game was still being held.

CNN —Detroit Lions star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson was carted off the field with a broken tibia in the team’s 47-9 blowout victory against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Early in the third quarter, Hutchinson injured himself after sacking Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. As he went to wrap up the QB, his leg collided with a teammate’s leg and he immediately fell to the ground. The Lions would rule him out for the rest of the game with a lower leg injury. Lions running back David Montgomery called Hutchinson’s injury an “unfortunate loss” for the team.

The questionnaires, known as client intake forms, give rare insight into the practices of Sage and other crisis pregnancy centers and how they use ambiguous language to describe their services. These practices are typical for crisis pregnancy centers across the country, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. The tactics used at crisis pregnancy centers often create delays that leave women unable to access abortions, forcing them to continue their pregnancies. Most crisis pregnancy centers in the United States are affiliated with either Heartbeat International or Care Net, another anti-abortion network. Like Idaho, North Carolina provides state funding to crisis pregnancy centers.

Nearly 130 million adults in the United States have some form of heart disease, according to the AHA. Having coronary heart disease raises the risk of future dementia by 27% compared with people without heart disease, the AHA statement said. Heart attacks and heart failureAbout every 40 seconds, someone in the United States will have a heart attack, the AHA estimates. Heart failure is a more severe form of heart disease, in which the heart is too weak to pump enough blood and oxygen to the body’s organs. Last spring, my friends and I accidentally rented an electric car on a trip to Italy. I hopped on Google to figure out how people manage life with electric cars when they take so long to charge. A high-voltage charger would take just 30 minutes to get our car's battery to 80%. AdvertisementAfter seeing our confused faces, she clarified that we were getting an electric car. Our car's battery was nearly dead, so we figured we might as well take advantage of the forced stop and explore the town.

The Georgia Supreme Court on Monday reinstated the state’s six-week abortion ban while it reviews an appeal from the state of a lower court ruling that had struck down the law. The state Supreme Court's decision, however, left in place the lower court’s ruling blocking a separate provision of the law that had given state prosecutors broad access to the medical records of abortion patients without due process protections. The state's near-total abortion ban, known as the LIFE Act, was signed by Republican Gov. Brian Kemp in 2019 but didn’t take effect until July 2022, after it faced a legal challenge and the U.S. Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade. Last week, a judge in Fulton County, Georgia, struck down the state’s six-week abortion, allowing the procedure to resume and almost immediately making it legal up to 22 weeks of pregnancy.

I've learned that it's OK to make space for both. For the next year and a half, the same lymph node was flagged as suspicious, leaving me in a constant state of limbo. The lymph node that had caused me so much anxiety — the last holdout — was clear. Most of all, I've learned to enjoy the life that I was given a second chance to live. I've learned to cherish this incredible gift while hoping to be here with him as long as possible.

Age was a dominant campaign issue when President Joe Biden, 81, was still a candidate. The Harris campaign video comes just hours before her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, is set to face off against Vance in their vice presidential debate. He could be a heartbeat away from the Oval Office,” the narrator says toward the end of the spot. Republicans, including Trump and Vance, have tried to distance themselves from the plan, despite the ties between the authors and allies of both candidates.

AP/Getty ImagesDemocrat Tim Walz and Republican JD Vance are set to meet Tuesday night in the only vice presidential debate of the 2024 election — and in what might be the last time the two campaigns square off onstage. The matchup between Walz, the 60-year-old Minnesota governor, and Vance, the 40-year-old Ohio senator, is being hosted by CBS News and taking place in New York, without a live audience. Voters’ decisions are overwhelmingly influenced by the tops of the party tickets, and Walz and Vance are likely to devote much of their time attacking Trump and Harris respectively. Keep reading here for more of the five things to watch for ahead of tonight’s debate.

Vice presidential nominees traditionally play the role of attack dog for the top of their tickets – in this case, Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican former President Donald Trump. Walz earned the Democratic vice presidential nod in part because of his branding of the GOP ticket as “weird” in television interviews that served as semi-auditions for the role. Vance and Trump, meanwhile, have at times struggled to get on the same page on the issue of abortion. Walz could play the part Biden once did in a debate against another rising young conservative, when the then-vice president stymied Mitt Romney’s running mate, Paul Ryan in a crucial 2012 debate. When Trump brought up Springfield during the presidential debate last month, the moderators fact-checked him in real-time.

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin's miraculous comeback reached another milestone Monday as he grabbed his first career interception. Hamlin is in his fourth season with Buffalo, but it’s his first season as a starting safety. He earned the spot in training camp after the Bills parted ways with their previous starting safeties in the offseason. Hamlin’s first career interception came 20 months after his near-fatal injury against the Cincinnati Bengals, which was also a "Monday Night Football" game. Orangeburg, South Carolina KFF Health News —Amari Marsh had just finished her junior year at South Carolina State University in May 2023 when she received a text message from a law enforcement officer. South Carolina state Rep. Seth Rose, a Democrat in Columbia and one of Marsh’s attorneys, called it a “really tragic” case. But at the hospital, Marsh learned that her infant, a girl, had not survived. Historically, birth outcomes for Black women in Orangeburg County, where Marsh lost her pregnancy, have ranked among the worst in South Carolina. Today, it is just over $3,000,” said Harris, who also serves as chair of the National Association of Home Builders. Vice President Kamala Harris has proposed offering $25,000 in down payment assistance to first-time homebuyers and incentives to homebuilders to construct more housing for first-time homebuyers. Former President Donald Trump has said he would lower housing costs by opening federal land to development, rolling back regulations and reducing overall inflation. But homebuilders say they face a web of challenges that have been nearly two decades in the making and will likely take years to resolve. One major barrier to driving down prices and increasing supply has been a shortage of workers, homebuilders said.

Few address child care, for infants or beyond. Since Dobbs, seven states have had ballot initiatives on the topic, with the abortion rights position winning in each state. In November, at least 10 more initiatives aimed at restoring or protecting abortion rights will be in front of voters across the country. But Brahm has also rallied an array of political, faith, academic, medical and advocacy leaders into a coalition called “Building a Post-Roe Future” that calls for more affordable health care and child care, expanded child tax credits, paid parental leave, flexible work hours and enforced pre-natal support. Though paid parental leave has been a big topic of discussion around the country, the only states to enact such measures since Dobbs are those where abortion rights are protected.
