I do think that seeing a woman on the ballot will, hopefully, encourage more women to vote, even if they don't vote for Harris. At the time, I thought it was going to be a landslide, like 'We're about to have our first woman president.' The direct-to-consumer health-care startup Ro launched a new free tool Tuesday to help patients determine whether their insurance covers a buzzy class of weight loss and diabetes drugs called GLP-1s. Ro said nearly half of the company's patients have some form of insurance coverage for a GLP-1, according to its customer data. Ro said it hopes its new tool can help patients understand their coverage options so they can decide how to pursue weight loss. The frequency may also affect your gut microbiome and risk of chronic disease, a new study has found. Self-reported bowel movement frequency was separated into four groups: constipation (one or two bowel movements per week), low-normal (three to six weekly), high-normal (one to three per day) and diarrhea. The authors believe their findings are “preliminary support for a causal link between bowel movement frequency, gut microbial metabolism, and organ damage,” according to a news release. It’s also possible a person’s gut microbiome could be influencing bowel movement frequency. Bowel movement frequency also isn’t the most ideal measure of bowel function, he said.
