Donald Trump participates in a question and answer session at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention at the Hilton Hotel in Chicago, Illinois on July 31. Getty ImagesFormer President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, drew gasps on Wednesday when he said at the National Association of Black Journalists convention that Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee, had suddenly adopted a Black identity. Trump claimed: “I’ve known her a long time, indirectly, not directly very much, and she was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. Harris graduated in 1986 from Howard University, a historically Black institution where she was a member of a historically Black sorority. After that, she was elected president of the association of Black law students in her second year at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, according to her 2019 memoir.

I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black. Harris graduated in 1986 from Howard University, a historically Black institution where she was a member of a historically Black sorority. - Falsely claimed he was “protected” under the Presidential Records Act for taking official documents after his presidency. - Falsely claimed that “everybody,” including Democrats, wanted Roe v. REUTERS/Hollie Adams/File Photo Acquire Licensing RightsLONDON, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Britain on Tuesday scrapped a decade-old cap on banker bonuses inherited from the European Union, signalling a clear divergence in post-Brexit financial rules from the 27-country bloc it left in 2020. The BoE and Financial Conduct Authority proposed scrapping the cap in a public consultation earlier this year, and its abolition was confirmed in final policy published on Tuesday. The TUC confederation of labour unions said the decision to scrap the bonus cap was "obscene". Law firm Linklaters said scrapping the cap puts Britain back into line with the rest of the world, apart from the EU, but it would continue to apply to staff working at EU banks in London who are regulated under the bloc's rules.

"When our vaccination policy was implemented, vaccination was critical in preventing community spread," he added. Nike employees were overwhelmingly in favor of the vaccine mandate. 'Not sure where this leaves those of us who were fired only months ago'It's unclear how many people Nike terminated for not complying with its vaccine mandate. A group called the Health Freedom Defense Fund is suing Disney over its vaccine mandate, which like Nike's, required vaccination as a condition of employment. Companies have the broad authority to mandate vaccines in their workplace, according to Dorit Rubinstein Reiss, a UC Hastings law professor, and vaccine policy expert.
