Carlos Barria | Afp | Getty ImagesBEIJING — Chinese President Xi Jinping told U.S. executives on Wednesday that bilateral relations can improve, and pledged that Beijing would keep working to improve the business environment.
In the Chinese side's readout, Xi described China's economy as "sound and sustainable," and pushed back on some forecasts that the country would soon "peak."
The National Committee on U.S.-China Relations did not provide a statement.
