Wembanyama finished with 25 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, five steals and five blocks, becoming just the third player in NBA history with multiple 5x5 games after Hakeem Olajuwon and Andrei Kirilenko. A 5x5 line, a very rare occurrence in the NBA, requires a player to record at least five of a stat in five separate categories, such as points, rebounds, assists, etc. Ja Morant records triple-double in Grizzlies winMorant led the Grizzlies past a struggling Bucks team. Morant recorded 26 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists, including an incredible seated alley-oop pass for a Santi Aldama dunk in the second quarter.

CNN —Dwyane Wade’s status as a Miami Heat legend was further cemented on Sunday as the franchise unveiled an eight-foot statue of the three-time NBA champion. The 42-year-old played 16 seasons in the NBA and was selected as an All-Star 13 times before retiring in 2019. One comment on an Instagram video of the unveiling said that the statue better resembled Laurence Fishburne as ’Morpheus’ from the movie ‘The Matrix’ than Wade. Fans criticized the likeness of the statue although Wade himself didn't seem too bothered and was relishing the moment. Tyrese Haliburton led the way for the Pacers with 22 points but still looks a long way off last season’s form.

Parts of Canada’s Boreal Forest Are Burning Faster Than They Can Regrow The delicate balance of one the planet’s largest natural systems for storing carbon depends on the humble black spruce tree. The boreal forests are the largest forests in the world, and in Western Canada they evolved to burn once every century or so. What was troubling, Dr. Baltzer noted, is that fire isn’t supposed to make life harder for the black spruce tree. Any imbalance in this tug of war between life and death can threaten the boreal forests’ ability to store heat-trapping carbon. Given how huge the boreal forests are, her research could help shed light on which parts of the ecosystem were most important to protect.

A few years ago, the organizers of one of the largest U.S. exercise programs for people with Parkinson’s disease realized they had a problem: Most of the students were white. But people who run Parkinson’s exercise programs in a handful of U.S. cities describe great difficulty in recruiting Black people. Johnson said his Chicago-area initiative offered a free six-month exercise program for Parkinson’s patients and increased marketing in the Black community but got little traction. When a white person shows up at the doctor’s office with such symptoms, a doctor would likely recognize them as signs of Parkinson’s, said Bernard Coley, an advocate for people with Parkinson’s disease, especially those in underengaged communities. After his less-than-successful efforts to recruit Black Parkinson’s patients into his exercise program in Chicago, Johnson concluded that the fact that he’s not Black is an “important factor.”Leventhal, who runs the Parkinson’s exercise program in New York, has come to the same conclusion.
