Four sources have told CNN that the Israeli cabinet has not adopted the siege proposal put forward by retired general Giora Eiland. Eiland last month proposed forcing all civilians out of northern Gaza, including Gaza City, and then cutting off all supplies to the area. The World Food Programme told CNN on Friday that no food trucks had entered northern Gaza since the start of the month. Palestinians in northern Gaza say that this week has brought some of the most intense military action of the war. Meanwhile, seven attempts this week by the World Health Organization to reach northern Gaza were “denied or impeded,” Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Thursday.

CNN —Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering a plan to force all Palestinian civilians out of northern Gaza, including Gaza City, in order to lay siege to Hamas and force the release of hostages. The plan does not mention whether, when, or how civilians would be allowed to return to northern Gaza. The idea comes from a group of retired Israeli military generals, who have formally presented it to the Israeli cabinet and a powerful parliamentary committee. “The right thing to do is to inform the approximately 300,000 residents who remained in the northern Gaza Strip, citizen residents, of the following: Not that we are suggesting you leave the northern Gaza Strip, we are ordering you to leave the northern Gaza Strip.”“In a week, the entire territory of the northern Gaza Strip will become military territory. The plan does not tackle the question of whether Palestinians could ever return to northern Gaza, one of its backers told CNN.

La mai bine de un an de la închiderea granițelor și după trei valuri pandemice agresive, Israelul a atins imunitatea colectivă în urma vaccinării masive și va permite accesul în țară începând cu data de 23 mai 2021 pentru toți turiștii români vaccinați, informează Mediafax. Informația a fost dată marți, într-o declarație comună a ministrului turismului din Israel, Orit Farkash-Hacohen și a ministrului sănătății, Yuli Edelstein. Redeschiderea turistică a Israelului se va face treptat, începând cu data de 23 mai, când primele grupuri de turiști vor avea acces în Țara Sfântă. Călătorilor individuali li se va permite să intre în Israel în cea de-a doua etapă. Toți vizitatorii vor putea intra în Israel în baza unui test PCR negativ și vor trebui să facă și un test serologic care să ateste existența anticorpilor în urma vaccinării.
