The stadium is set to become the home for USL Championship League soccer team Oakland Roots starting in 2025. In a letter addressed to the fans ahead of the final home series, A’s owner John Fisher reflected on the team’s legacy in Oakland. “The A’s are part of the fabric of Oakland, the East Bay, and the entire Bay Area,” Fisher wrote. Countless dedicated staff members and Oakland Coliseum employees have poured their hearts into this team, and their efforts have meant so much to our community. The Oakland Coliseum sits in third place for the most no-hitters thrown (12), with the last being a perfect game by the New York Yankees’ Domingo German in 2023.

Advanced technologies in food production allow our food supply to meet the demands of our growing population. Ultra-processed foods can be detrimental to our physical and mental health. Why ultra-processed foods are so bad for youThe No. Because this is hard to achieve via ultra-processed foods, I instead recommend pairing whole plant foods with your favorite clean protein and a healthy fat. Breakfast cereals tend to be mostly simple carbohydrates with almost an entire day's worth of added sugars.

The drinks were tied to at least two wrongful death lawsuits against Panera. AdvertisementPanera Bread is discontinuing its controversial, highly caffeinated Charged Sips range that was linked to at least two wrongful death lawsuits in the US. Panera currently sells two flavors of Charged Lemonade — strawberry lemon mint and mango yuzu citrus — and a blood orange "charged" splash. Two of these were wrongful death lawsuits. The company previously told BI that it thought the wrongful death lawsuits were "without merit" and that it stood by the safety of its products.

New York CNN —Panera Bread is eliminating Charged Lemonade from its menu, the caffeinated beverage that has sparked multiple lawsuits and caused a public relations nightmare for the company. The Charged Lemonades will come off the menu in the next two weeks, according to Bloomberg, which first reported the news. The chain declined to comment to CNN on the timeline of the drinks’ removal. A Panera spokesperson said new drinks will replace it, including low-sugar and low-caffeine options, including a new blueberry lavender lemonade, pomegranate hibiscus tea, citrus punch and a tropical green smoothie. Panera kept the Charged Lemonades on the menu, despite the controversies, because experts say removing the drink immediately could have come across as an implied admission that something was wrong with it in the first place.

BANGKOK (AP) — Vietnamese automaker VinFast announced Tuesday that it plans to sell its electric vehicles in Thailand and said it had tied up with auto dealers to open showrooms in the country. VinFast, which only began exporting its EVs last year, faces stiff competition in Thailand from Chinese automakers like BYD. The Thai EV market is small but growing fast, buoyed by incentives and subsidies from the government. VinFast hopes to start selling both its electric scooters and electric SUVs in the country in the next two months, Vu Dang Yen Hang, chief executive officer of VinFast Thailand, told The Associated Press. But the EV market remains small, accounting for only 0.5% of EV sales worldwide in 2022.

Nhac Nguyen | Afp | Getty ImagesVietnamese electric vehicle, or EV, maker VinFast on Thursday said its fourth-quarter net loss deepened 3.4% from the previous three months but it aims to nearly triple vehicle sales this year as it expands into new markets. VinFast's net losses in the final quarter of 2023 reached $650.1 million, also 1.3% higher than the same period of 2022. watch nowOther automakers, in contrast, have slashed EV sales targets and curtailed investment plans due to weakening demand in major markets such as the United States. Fewer than 1,000 units were sold in North America, Thuy said, adding that new dealerships would boost VinFast's sales this year compared to its direct sales model. Founded in 2017 and making EVs since 2021, VinFast has announced numerous EV growth plans overseas.

In an interview, VinFast CEO Le Thi Thu Thuy said VinFast had not provided any financing to GSM. "For the next two quarters we still see GSM having demand for our vehicles, both EVs and e-scooters," Thuy said. A VinFast survey showed riders who had experienced a ride in a VinFast taxi operated by GSM were four times more likely to buy than customers who took standard test drives, she said. GSM launched Vietnam's first pure EV taxi service earlier this year. Thuy said no deliveries had been made to Autonomy yet, and that VinFast was "working on options for contract execution."

Lisa Baertlein | ReutersVietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast's ambitious plan to deliver as many as 50,000 vehicles this year is "unrealistic," according to one analyst. VinFast said it expects to deliver 40,000 to 50,000 vehicles in 2023 despite a weak global economy. In April, Green SM launched a pure EV taxi service in Vietnam with VinFast models. "VinFast's ambitious EV plan seems unrealistic. For example, VinFast's VF9 model is priced from $83,000 whereas the Tesla Model X is priced from $68,590 after federal tax credit and gas savings.

Maj. Joshua Mast, after a raid on an Afghan village, tried for years to adopt a baby he found in the rubble. The high-profile legal battle pits an Afghan family against an American one, and has drawn responses from the White House and the Taliban. The AP has located no records of the birth of the farmer's baby or photographs of her with the family before the raid. Four of the farmer's children had survived, so covered with dust and dirt they were almost unrecognizable, said neighbor Rahim. Less than two years after the raid, Mast helped the Afghan couple and the toddler flee as the country collapsed and the Taliban took over.

My research found that Pelosi eats ice cream for breakfast, hot dogs for lunch, pasta, and chocolate. Chocolate ice cream for breakfast, rich and creamy pasta, and lots of snacking chocolate. She claims she does not exercise; her daughter once arrived home to find her mother eating chocolate ice cream while using a stationary bike. I save the ice cream for later to avoid a massive sugar crash and start out with a cup of black tea instead. However, I don't want to slack off after the ice cream episode, so I slather it on.
Making smoothies with fruit alone is a mistake that causes blood sugar spikes, a dietitian said. It's important to add healthy fats, protein, and fiber, Nichola Ludlam-Raine told Insider. She shared five recipes for nutritionally balanced smoothies, from carrot cake to apple pie flavors. "The main mistake people make when making smoothies is making them with 100% fruit," registered dietitian Nichola Ludlam-Raine told Insider. "These combined help to slow down the release of the energy from the blended fruit," Ludlam-Raine said.
At first glance, you might miss the glass frog of the Costa Rican rainforest. Apart from a lime green smear across its back, its skin, muscle and other tissues are see-through. In a study published in the journal Science on Thursday, researchers report that when a glass frog falls asleep, almost all of its red blood cells retreat into its liver. In addition to revealing another remarkable adaptation in nature, the discovery could lead to clues for how to prevent deadly blood clots. Like people, glass frogs rely on hemoglobin, a colored protein in red blood cells that delivers oxygen around the body.

"What ESG investing is, is very simply put, an incorporation of publicly available data into investment processes," Noack said. Small but controversialSome investors like Noack have pointed out that debates surrounding ESG investing may be getting more attention than they deserve. However, grouping all ESG funds into one classification is too wide-ranging, Todd Rosenbluth, head of research at VettaFi, said in the same segment. The SPDR S&P 500 ESG ETF (EFIV) tracks an index designed to select S&P 500 companies meeting ESG criteria, while the Xtrackers MSCI USA ESG Leaders Equity ETF (USSG) corresponds to the performance of its underlying index. The Xtrackers S&P 500 ESG ETF (SNPE) , for instance, doesn't target the 25% worst S&P 500 companies from an ESG perspective of each industry group.
