Actor Denzel Washington told Gayety that he had a kiss in the movie, but it was ultimately cut from the final print. “I actually kissed the man in the film, but they took it, they cut it, I think they got chicken,” Washington, who plays a Roman businessman in the film, said in a video interview. “It’s ‘Gladiator.’ It’s the kiss of death.”It appears that it wasn’t the only kiss that was cut from the Ridley Scott-directed film. “Gladiator II” is a sequel to the 2000 historical epic featuring a cast that includes Mescal, Pascal and Washington.

A source familiar with the process acknowledged that details are still being worked out with the Biden administration regarding the ethics agreement, which is required by law under the Presidential Transition Act and which applies to all members of the transition team. Political experts told Business Insider that the Iowa poll is significant for the Harris campaign given that the demographic makeup of Iowa — rural, older, and largely white voters — is similar to some key swing states. Trump has publicly distanced himself from the ideological blueprint, but CNN found at least 140 authors worked in the Trump administration. But given the momentum of the clean energy train, some experts and analysists doubt that Trump would be able to derail it entirely. While the green trend in economics now has Republican states like Texas leading the nation in clean energy installations, Germany, Japan and China got there first. Trump’s plan is to undo that progress, throw billions of dollars of clean energy investment out the window and give other countries the economic opportunity, instead.

After laying out the darkest closing argument in modern American history, Trump is now increasingly turning to poisoning public confidence in the election. Gore conceded that election, thereby guaranteeing an uncontested transfer of presidential power — a step Trump refused to take four years ago. More likely voters say Harris rather than Trump cares about people like them (43% Harris to 37% Trump), is honest and trustworthy (41% Harris to 29% Trump), and will put the country’s interests above their own (45% Harris to 39% Trump). Across each of those attributes though, 16% or more of likely voters say neither candidate fits the bill. The mayor of Waukesha, the seat of a reliably Republican county outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin, endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president on Wednesday — the first time the formerly Republican city leader is supporting a Democrat for commander in chief, the campaign said. Wisconsin is a key battleground state that could be a critical piece of Harris or Trump's path to victory on election night. Philadelphia CNN —Dozens of Black motorcyclists drove through north and west Philadelphia over the weekend with a simple message for Black men: Go vote. Younger Black men have received increased attention from the Harris campaign in recent days. Since January, Black Men Vote has been reaching out to its target audience in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, where the group says it has registered more than 100,000 Black men to vote. Black Men Vote has also partnered with barbers, who they’ve trained as voting ambassadors to talk to clients about civic engagement. Ninety-two percent of Black voters in the state backed the president, including 89% of Black men and 94% of Black women, according to CNN exit polls.

“The polls — public and private — are closer in this election than any I have ever seen,” said Dan Pfeiffer, a former aide to Barack Obama. In the most recent NBC News poll, 54% of respondents say they disapprove of the job Biden is doing. In fact, Biden is now more personally unpopular than either Harris or Trump. Between now and Election Day, I do expect Harris to find more ways to differentiate herself from Biden. If that’s a Biden “hangover” that ends up hurting Trump more than Biden, it means team Harris effectively weaponized his age. In this most recent poll, Trump was losing the core Democratic states by only 13 points.
