The late, beloved "Golden Girls" actor Betty White will be memorialized on a new postage stamp next year. Postal Service announced Friday that one of its 2025 Forever Stamp offerings will include an illustration of White. The collection has honored a man one year and a woman the next, according to the Postal Service. CNN —A mummified ice age cub from Siberia is the first known mummy of a sabre-toothed cat, and its discovery is generating ripples of excitement among paleontologists. A, B and C reveal views of the mummified Homotherium latidens specimen: A is a thumb claw; B a second digit claw; and С a plantar view. However, the mummy also showed that sabre-toothed cubs differed dramatically from modern lion cubs of a similar age, Lopatin said. Its coat was darker, and its ears were smaller than those of lion cubs; it had longer forelimbs, a larger mouth opening and a more massive neck. Its paw is also more circular than that of a lion cub; in fact, its shape more closely resembles the paw of a bear, Tseng added.

The Beaver Moon will reach the crest of its full phase at 4:29 p.m. And as the Beaver Moon is rising, spectators might glimpse a "moon illusion," a period of time where the supermoon could look even bigger than normal due to an optical illusion. The Beaver Moon was named after the time of year when beavers begin hibernation. While the best viewing period will be over the weekend, the Leonids will be visible until the meteor shower ends on Dec. 2.

Just a 25-minute drive east from the city center is Gokarna Forest Resort, a five-star luxury retreat and golf course embedded within 470 acres of protected sanctuary jungle, sheltering a rich array of wildlife. Though a golf course had been present since 1999, the development saw it blossom into the undulating 6,755 yard, 18-hole setup that sits as the crown jewel of the resort today. “The uniqueness of the golf course is what really inspires me, and I have been to at least 200 or 250 golf courses around the world. It is commonplace to glimpse as many as 400 spotted and barking deer bounding across the course’s fairways on any given day, Acharya says. “That is a big challenge for the golf course and for me to maintain, because they run on the greens,” he said.

After leaving the workforce during the pandemic because she couldn’t find affordable child care, Longenecker said her family has been economizing. But her husband recently got a new job that pays more per hour and with lower health care costs. Her husband’s side gig has been “flourishing,” giving them steady monthly income and a glimpse of a future beyond waiting tables. Her monthly retirement income of around $7,600 is comfortable, but homeowners insurance, utilities and long-term care costs are weighing on her. Keys said Harris has put forth clearer economic policies, like her plan to offer first-time homebuyers $25,000 in downpayment assistance.

Abigail Spanberger decided against seeking a fourth term, instead launching a campaign for governor in 2025. Democratic Rep. Jared Golden has crafted a moderate profile by challenging his party on issues ranging from spending to immigration. This year she faces a challenge from GOP state Rep. Gabe Evans, a fellow Mexican American and a former Army helicopter pilot and police officer. GOP Rep. Zach Nunn, an Air Force officer, was first elected in 2022 – defeating Democratic Rep. Cindy Axne by about 2,000 votes.
