Gabriela Brito is a 12-year-old Venezuelan immigrant to Colombia who, under the name Lela, gained fame rapping on buses to support her family. She channels the experiences of the seven million displaced Venezuelans in songs like “Calendario,” about her migration journey. “Just like you, I still hold the dream of returning,” she rasps in Spanish.
