NEW YORK — Shohei Ohtani is expected to play in Game 3 of the World Series, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed Sunday. Ohtani was expected to receive an MRI before Game 3 to determine the severity of the shoulder injury he suffered in Game 2 on Saturday. Roberts said postgame that Ohtani had suffered a subluxation, which is a partial dislocation, of his left shoulder. Through two World Series games, the Dodgers have secured a 2-0 lead largely in spite of Ohtani, who has hit 1-for-8 as the team’s designated hitter. Ohtani became the first player to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in a single season with 54 and 59, respectively.

Related storiesNow, with "Guess," Eilish enters as both a foil and hopeful love interest. She sing-raps as if she's responding to Charli's original lyrics, breaking the fourth wall with a seductive wink: "Charli likes boys, but she knows I'd hit it." In the "Guess" remix, Charli tweaks her own verse as a nod to Eilish's new era: "Wear 'em, post 'em, might remix it / Eat it up for lunch, yeah, it's so delicious." Each "Brat" remix is arguably as good as the original, yet distinct and unique in its own right.

CNN —An epic festival in Las Vegas featuring a lineup that included Alica Keys, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson and Gwen Stefani was canceled on the eve of its opening due to high winds. Johanna Furtado is suing Peloton, alleging its bike caused her son's death in 2022. Ryan Furtado was later found by the New York Police Department. Johanna Furtado alleges in the suit that Peloton did not provide enough warning that the bike could cause injury if people used it to pull themselves off the floor. On the bike Ryan was using, the lawsuit claims there was only a single warning label, which the suit calls "inadequate." The lawsuit is only one of the issues Peloton has faced over the past few years.

Cari Gundee rides her Peloton exercise bike at her home on April 06, 2020 in San Anselmo, California. The family of a New York man claims he was killed by his Peloton bike just six months after buying it, but the company insists that his own negligence caused his death, according to a lawsuit filed in state court. The lawsuit, filed in March 2023 in Brooklyn civil Supreme Court by Furtado's mother Johanna Furtado, is several months old. While at least one child was killed by Peloton's treadmill in March 2021, Furtado's death is the first known fatality linked to the company's ultra-popular exercise bike. Peloton's exercise equipment has gone through numerous recalls over the last few years.

SYDNEY/SINGAPORE, June 20 (Reuters) - Asia's dealmakers are counting on a pause in rate hikes globally and an economic rebound in China to rekindle activity in the region's equity capital markets, after volumes in the first half of the year sank to their lowest in four years. First-half Asia Pacific equity capital markets volumes dropped 16% to $117.2 billion from the same period in 2022, including a 34% drop in initial public offerings (IPOs) to $34.3 billion, Refinitiv data showed. "For investor sentiment to return for IPOs we need to see a more stable interest rate environment in the U.S., more economic stimulus from China and an improving geopolitical backdrop," said Cathy Zhang, head of Asia Pacific equity capital markets at Morgan Stanley. "We are hoping to see more IPO activity in the second half and starting to see some green shoots in the U.S. and Europe," said Udhay Furtado, Citigroup's co-head of Asia equity capital markets. As bankers scan their pipeline of IPO candidates for the second half, larger transactions in the region are being favoured to help kick-start activity.
