The film “Rust” will make its world premiere next month, three years after the set shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and blanketed the production in scandal and legal troubles. The Western drama starring and produced by Alec Baldwin will make its world premiere at the Camerimage Festival which takes place Nov. 16 to 23 in Toruń, Poland. Production was halted as Baldwin and the film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, became the subject of legal action. CNN —Prosecutors in the “Rust” fatal shooting case plan to file a notice to dismiss involuntary manslaughter charges against Alec Baldwin, his attorney, Luke Nikas, tells CNN. CNN has contacted the special prosecutor in the Santa Fe, New Mexico case for comment. Baldwin and “Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed were both charged with involuntary manslaughter in January. An attorney for Gutierrez Reed has previously said she will plead not guilty. Prosecutors already removed a firearm enhancement charge against Baldwin and Gutierrez Reed, reducing a potential prison sentence from 5 years to a maximum of 18 months.
