But the idea of simply placing Kennedy atop the Libertarian Party ticket to marry his momentum with their organization left Kennedy with an embarrassing loss at the Libertarian Party convention in Washington. The last third-party candidate to win a state and get Electoral Votes was George Wallace, who won Southern states in 1968. Former GOP presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy has an 8% stake in BuzzFeed and is seeking to effect a "shift" in the media firm's strategy, the investor said Tuesday in a filing. "Stay tuned," Ramaswamy told CNBC via a spokesperson. Companies should "do whatever allows them to be most successful over the long run without regard to political, social, cultural or environmental agendas," Ramaswamy told CNBC in a 2023 interview. Mitt Romney said that if he were President Joe Biden he would have “immediately pardoned” former President Donald Trump. “Had I been President Biden, when the Justice Department brought on indictments, I would have immediately pardoned him,” Romney told MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle” in an interview set to air Wednesday. “I’d have pardoned President Trump. Romney has long been a critic of Trump and has often criticized his Republican colleagues for their continued loyalty to the former president. Romney has said he did not vote for Trump, his party’s nominee, in 2020 and has said he will not vote for him in 2024.

More than half, 55%, of all Americans say they see Trump’s presidency as a success, while 44% see it as a failure. Four years ago, he was able to assail Trump’s time in office from his position as a challenger. Biden won all three in 2020 after Trump won them in 2016 in his victory over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. In the poll, 92% of Republicans view Trump’s time in office a success, while just 73% of Democrats say Biden’s has been a success. "Devin Nunes is the proverbial loser who tries to blame 'naked short selling' for his falling stock price," said a spokesperson for Citadel Securities. Citadel Securities' founder and non-executive chairman Ken Griffin is a major donor to Republican candidates — among them the former GOP congressman Nunes. "If he [Nunes] worked for Citadel Securities, we would fire him, as ability and integrity are at the center of everything we do," the spokesperson added. "Data made available to us indicate that just four market participants have been responsible for over 60% of the extraordinary volume of DJT shares traded: Citadel Securities, VIRTU Americas, G1 Execution Services, and Jane Street Capital," Nunes wrote.
