During the course of the 17th century, Poland and Sweden fought a series of wars, so Zosia could have been an outsider within her community. “Maybe because of some misfortune or the death of somebody else, they decided to open the grave,” Poliński suggested. A year after discovering Zosia’s grave, the same team found a child’s remains buried in an unusual way.

A white supremacist is accused of trying to destroy an electricity substation in Tennessee in an attempt to bring down the regional power network and disrupt American society, authorities said Monday. The theory was popularized by manifestos left by perpetrators in a number of high-profile neo-Nazi and white supremacist terrorist incidents, including the killing of 51 people at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2019. Philippi drove to an electricity substation, along with undercover FBI agents, to carry out reconnaissance, the bureau said. While driving, he ordered C-4 explosives from the undercover agents, and at a later date he bought black powder intended to be used in pipe bombs. Philippi was arrested on Nov. 2 by undercover agents acting as co-conspirators who had agreed to be lookouts.

Two other people were killed and eight injured in the attack in the city of Leon, in Guanajuato state, the authorities added. But that didn’t work for “La Madrina Chayo,” a woman considered a leader of the cult in the north-central state of Guanajuato. Like Mexico’s Day of the Dead holiday, the Santa Muerte is honored on Nov. 1 and 2. While the cult may sound ominous, the annual celebrations honoring the Santa Muerte are friendly affairs, with people warmly greeting fellow worshippers and offering them small gifts.

Shortly afterward, the band renamed itself the Grateful Dead, with Lesh on bass and Garcia on guitar. CNN —Legendary singer Paul Simon has said he is “optimistic” about being able to return to performing live after losing most of his hearing in his left ear. So everything became more difficult.”Even before he announced the loss of his hearing, Simon toured for the last time in 2018, after which he said he was ending his touring career. “I never said I was going to retire,” Simon said in his latest interview. It was very interesting and really quite pleasurable for a long time – until my hearing loss threw me off.”Simon recently played alongside two guitarists at a fundraiser for the Stanford Initiative to Cure Hearing Loss, his longest performance in five years. “In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon,” which premiered in March in the United States, is set for release in UK cinemas on October 13, Simon’s 83rd birthday.

Los Angeles AP —Kris Kristofferson, a Rhodes scholar with a deft writing style and rough charisma who became a country music superstar and A-list Hollywood actor, has died. Kristofferson died at his home in Maui, Hawaii, on Saturday, family spokesperson Ebie McFarland said in an email. Kristofferson, who could recite William Blake from memory, wove intricate folk music lyrics about loneliness and tender romance into popular country music. “There’s no better songwriter alive than Kris Kristofferson,” Nelson said during a November 2009 award ceremony for Kristofferson held by BMI.
