Registered dietitians say that communal eating can help combat the negative effects of solo eating. Whereas, eating in a stressed or tense state, like while looking over work emails, can cause us to digest food improperly and overeat. Baum suggests initiating virtual meal dates with family or friends, potlucks, or neighborhood meals to mitigate our lonely eating time. AdvertisementBaum added that the simple act of being more social can lead to more opportunities for communal eating. For example, joining clubs or activities often leads to people eating food together afterward.

The U.S. Federal Reserve won't cut interest rates as much as markets expect because "embedded inflation" is too high, Blackrock CEO Larry Fink said Tuesday, speaking at a CEO-studded panel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Biden administration's legislation, such as the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, have pushed those efforts forward. "Today, I think we have governmental policies that are embedded inflationary, and, with that being said, we're not gonna see interest rates as low as people are forecasting," Fink said. The Fed cut its benchmark rate by 50 basis points in September, signaling a turning point in its management of the U.S. economy and in its outlook for inflation. In late-September reports, strategists at J.P. Morgan and Fitch Ratings predicted two additional interest rate cuts by the end of 2024, and expect such reductions to continue into 2025.

The guide covers four specific asset classes, and is divided between the Trump and Harris impact on each. Advertisement"Our upbeat projections for the stock market in 2024 and 2025 are predicated on a view that hype over AI will continue to fuel a stock market bubble," the research firm said. And since presidential actions usually impact rates, the bond market will be shaped by what either Trump or Harris end up doing.

New York CNN —When X unveiled its newest terms of service, which go into effect on November 15, users quickly picked up on one change. Using content to train AI has become a major issue as the technology booms. On X, artists and others in creative roles are fretting about their work being used – not just on X – to train computers that could someday replace human creators entirely. Other X users say they are concerned about personal information in their tweets being used that way. X’s terms said any users who continue to use their products or services on or after November 15 would be agreeing to the updated terms.
