Solo Per Due – “Just for Two” in Italian – is no ordinary restaurant, and not just because of its tiny size. Its owners claim it is the smallest fine-dining establishment not only in Italy but in the world, too. Guests are required to arrive at a specific time agreed by the owners, who prepare and serve the elaborate food. “This is not a restaurant – we offer a unique, intimate experience which is at the core of our decades-long reputation. Upon request, a private driver can be arranged to pick up guests, and fireworks can be staged in the garden.

The CEO of olive oil startup Graza issued a public apology after a recent LinkedIn post garnered criticism. Andrew Benin accused Brightland, another food startup, of copying Graza's squeeze bottle design on Tuesday. "Andrew, with all due respect, you did not create the squeeze bottle," Alison Kayne, founder of Haven's Kitchen, commented on Benin's post. In an updated version of the post, Benin apologized to Iyer for the accusation, and called the post "out of character." The Graza CEO emailed thousands of customers during the company's first holiday season to apologize for issues like shipping delays and dented bottles.
I love giving and getting gift cards for the holidays, even though some people say they're impersonal. They offer the gift of timeNot only are you gifting store credit to their favorite places to shop, but gift cards also offer the gift of time. Plus, I can purchase gift cards online, or go to a store that offers a wall of different gift cards from other retailers to choose from. I've also scooped up discounts on gift cards during special promos, like 10% off gift cards up to a certain amount. Picking out gift cards to folks on my gift list have long been my go-to for the holidays, and as a gift card devotee, that's not going to change.
