CNN —Hundreds of protesters gathered in Lebanon on Friday to mark the third anniversary of a devastating explosion that ripped through a port in Beirut, demanding accountability from officials over a disaster that remains shrouded in mystery.
The incident at the Port of Beirut in the country’s capital was one of the world’s largest non-nuclear explosions.
Relatives hold the pictures of some of those killed in the August 2020 Beirut port blast during a march marking the three-year anniversary of the disaster.
He also launched a nationwide three-day mourning period for those affected by the blast.
