CNN —Swedish soccer star Kristoffer Olsson has been hospitalized and placed on a ventilator, seemingly due to an “acute disease related to the brain,” according to a statement from his team FC Midtjylland on Tuesday. FC Midtjylland also asked for privacy to allow the midfielder and his family to focus on recovery. FC Midtjylland said on Wednesday that training had been closed to media and fans as the club had been so affected by what had happened to Olsson. Olsson playing for FC Midtjylland in August 2023.
