London CNN —The teenager charged with the murder of three young girls in a July stabbing attack at a dance class in northwest England will face a terrorism charge, British prosecutors announced Tuesday. The new charges he faces in relation to the attack in the town of Southport, England, are in addition to three charges of murder, 10 charges of attempted murder and one charge of possession of a knife. “Searches of Axel Rudakubana’s home address resulted in an unknown substance being found – testing confirmed the substance was ricin,” Kennedy told reporters at a news conference. The attack on July 29 has not been declared a terrorist incident, the police chief said. The matter for which Axel Rudakubana has been charged with under the Terrorism Act does not require motive to be established.

Far-right demonstrators chanted anti-migrant, anti-Muslim slogans at the London rally that turned violent on Wednesday. He added that, while the algorithm played a part, there was also a “huge amount of organizing happening” in a variety of different places that are not algorithmically oriented – for example in far-right groups on the instant-messaging platform Telegram. Like what was being shared on X and other platforms, the Telegram group “Southport Wake Up,” also posted false information about the alleged suspect. CNN —A teenage boy has been charged with murder after three young girls were killed in a stabbing attack at a dance class in northwest England on Monday, British police said. Eight other children suffered stab wounds in the attack and five of them are in critical condition, police said. Two adults also remain in critical condition after being injured in the attack. As the class, which also included yoga and bracelet making, was drawing to an end on Monday morning, an attacker walked in and rampaged through the room with a knife, stabbing the children and two adults. Two girls — Bebe King, 6, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7 — died of their injuries on Monday, the Merseyside Police said in a statement, while a third, 9-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar, died in the hospital early Tuesday. His wife, Elsie Chandler, said he died in a hospital after suffering heart failure while awaiting surgery for a broken hip. Mr. Stolar was one of a generation of idealistic lawyers who, inspired by the civil rights and anti-Vietnam War movements, forsook lucrative careers to lend their expertise to social justice causes. “He had a practice that not only defended needy people, it propelled social movements,” said Franklin Siegel, a Distinguished Lecturer at the City University of New York School of Law, who knew Mr. Stolar for nearly six decades.
