The long-standing promise of a ban on menthol cigarettes, which has been years in the making, is unlikely to move forward before President-elect Donald Trump takes office in January. The FDA announced it would begin the process of banning menthol tobacco cigarettes in 2021. The recommendation coincides with a new report finding asymptomatic bird flu infection in some workers. Those cases were discovered using blood, or serology, testing and seem to have been transmitted from sick animals, not people. ASML's net bookings for the third quarter were 2.6 billion euros ($2.79 billion), below the 5.6 billion euros penciled in by Wall Street analysts. ASML expects net sales for 2025 to come in at the lower of half of the 30 billion euros and 35 billion euros range it previously predicted. Coca-Cola HBC Goldman is betting on Coca-Cola HBC, also known as CCH, given its solid top-lines and strong margin uplift. This phenomenon — coupled with an improving product pipeline across brands — has pushed analyst Richard Edwards to an "above consensus view" on JD's LFL (like-for-like) sales growth. Edwards also expects space expansion and acquisitions to contribute to an average 10% sales growth from 2025 to 2027, above the consensus average of 7%.

New York CNN —Elwood Edwards, a behind-the-scenes graphics and camera operator at local Cleveland television station WKYC whose voice was propelled to worldwide fame after he recorded AOL’s email greeting, ‘You’ve Got Mail,’ has died, according to his former employer. More than 30 years ago, Edwards recorded four iconic lines for what was then a little-known company called America Online. His wife, Karen, worked at Quantum Computer Services, which eventually became AOL, Edwards said in an AOL YouTube video in 2012. She volunteered her husband, and Edwards recorded the phrases on a cassette deck in his living room. “I didn’t enjoy being on camera as much as I enjoyed being behind the scenes,” Edwards said on the podcast.
