Vince McMahon and the WWE have been accused of knowing about and failing to stop the sexual exploitation of young boys by a ringside announcer, in a lawsuit filed on behalf of five alleged victims Wednesday. NBC News has contacted the McMahons, TKO and the WWE for comment; none have so far responded or commented on the case publicly. The suit alleges that Phillips would abuse the claimants in his dressing room while filming it with a video camera. The suit accuses the McMahons of long knowing of Phillips’ “peculiar and unnatural interest” in young boys. "Thanks to the bravery of our clients, we finally have a chance to hold accountable those who allowed and enabled the open, rampant sexual abuse of these young boys," he said.

When a journalist is killed, it is not just their voice that is silenced: Press freedom is your freedom. Over 30 years ago, the United Nations recognized May 3 as World Press Freedom Day: a global reminder of the importance of press freedom and an opportunity to assess its health around the world. The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) found that at least 100 journalists and media workers have been killed since we last marked World Press Freedom Day. Tragically, on this World Press Freedom Day, our work is needed more than ever. On this World Press Freedom Day, the fallen who gave their lives for the truth should serve as a reminder as to why press freedom is really your freedom.

Tens of thousands of Democratic voters cast "uncommitted" ballots against Biden on Super Tuesday. On Super Tuesday, hundreds of thousands of Democratic voters in states across the country declined to vote for President Joe Biden, casting "uncommitted" votes or something similar instead. Across several states, the uncommitted vote share easily dwarfed that of Biden's long shot primary challengers, Marianne Williamson and Rep. Dean Phillips. That's on top of more than 55,000 "no preference" votes in Massachusetts and more than 43,000 "uncommitted" votes in Colorado, along with thousands more in other states. AdvertisementAt the very least, it's a sign that the "uncommitted" campaign has gone national, with Democratic voters in states beyond Michigan willing to cast protest votes against the incumbent president.

“Joe Biden is losing about 20 percent of the Democratic vote today, and many say it’s a sign of his weakness in November. Phillips’ high point was in New Hampshire, where he drew nearly 20% of the Democratic primary vote. Republicans opposed an earlier Michigan primary, which violated Republican National Committee rules limiting which states can hold contests before March 1. After Democrats, who control the legislature and the governor’s office, moved the Michigan primary to February 27 despite the Republican opposition, the RNC and the Michigan GOP came up with the hybrid model. However, Kristina Karamo, the election conspiracy theorist who the state party voted to oust in January, has refused to relinquish control, arguing that she was unlawfully removed.
