Skepticism over government responseOne New Jersey lawmaker is accusing federal officials of lying about the presence and purpose of the mysterious drones. Connecticut State Police announced Friday they have deployed a drone detection system to assist in investigative efforts into unauthorized drone sightings reported over Fairfield County. Josh Shapiro said his administration is “aware of” the reported drone sightings and is taking them seriously. Residents in New York’s Rockland County reported drone sightings starting as early as November. A total of 791,597 drones are registered with the FAA, split almost evenly between commercial drones and recreational drones.

That's why it's important to follow a decluttering routine, including a nightly family clean-up. With a family of five, our mid-century house often feels cramped and cluttered. Over the years, I've noticed the more closely I follow a decluttering regimen, our home feels roomier and more presentable. Although I don't have a natural gift for organizing, following these simple steps keeps our house from becoming an untidy wasteland. Reorganizing spaces can help give a different perspectiveSometimes, the most straightforward step to decluttering is reorganizing a space that has received too much love lately.

Platonic touch between my friends and me became important when I was touch-starved. Humans need physical touch, and the sudden loss of it can be jarring, as I have recently experienced. But this year has been especially difficult for me, and now I'm craving physical touch. AdvertisementSince my divorce, I've remembered how healing a platonic touch between friends can be. Sometimes, that attraction manifests in physical touch, and sometimes, it's just the warm glow of connection with long-distance friends.

Green coffee extract, the ‘magic weight loss cure’In 2014, Oz went to Washington to seek help fighting internet marketers who were using his name and image to sell weight loss products. Senators provided several examples from Oz’s own show, but much of the hearing focused on his claims about green coffee bean extract. The BMJ study from 2014 found that the majority of Oz’s health recommendations touched on nutrition and dietary advice. (The research shows no evidence that HCG is an effective weight loss tool.)

Trump defeated Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris, and Republicans claimed a majority of the Senate in elections this week. "We know kind of where the world is headed in a Trump environment because we've seen it before," said Jeffrey Solomon, president of TD Cowen, on CNBC's "Money Movers" Wednesday. One M&A advisor, who also spoke to CNBC anonymously, noted that Trump's disdain for Big Tech companies — historically active deal-makers — might keep them on the sidelines. Apparent GOP opposition to the CHIPS Act means that semiconductor consolidation might be challenging, the advisor noted, while cautioning it is still too early to know what a Trump presidency would mean. That advisor noted that smaller banks had been getting gobbled up for "some time," but that the pace and size of those acquisitions would likely ramp up under a Trump presidency.

Where Harris’ campaign went wrong

It was a moment that encapsulated one of the biggest challenges facing her campaign – which, in the end, proved insurmountable. CNN spoke with over a dozen senior Harris campaign aides both in the Wilmington, Delaware, campaign headquarters and on the ground in the states, as well as multiple volunteers and local elected officials, over the course of the final weeks of the race. Vice President Kamala Harris makes her way to board Air Force Two before departing Dane County Regional Airport in Madison, Wisconsin on September 20. Biden could have taken on a role as steward and elder statesman, rather than a guy the Harris campaign never knew quite what do with. And those tensions manifested from almost the start of this short campaign, in the internal wrangling over who Harris should pick as her running mate.

Markets: The post-election rally on Wall Street continued into afternoon trading, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumping 3.4%, or roughly 1,450 points, and the S & P 500 advancing 2.4%. It's worth noting, the stock market was reacting like Jim Cramer said it would in his Sunday column . The one thing markets hate is uncertainty, and Wednesday's rally can be attributed, in part, to relief that Wall Street professionals and individual investors alike know where they stand and what to expect from the country's next president. Bond yields move inversely to prices, and a basis point is equal to 0.01%. "You have to be very careful to respect the bond market if you do any buying today," Jim said.
