India has been dubbed the "perfect" emerging market to invest in, but it can be tricky for those outside the country to gain access. India's stock market has been making headlines this year, and for good reason. "India remains one of the best-performing equity markets this year, underpinned by the world's fastest-growing major economy and a resilient macro backdrop," said James Thom, senior investment director Asian equities at Abrdn, in a note to clients. "You've got a government that's a democracy that's supporting technology, and you've got a talent pool that's really unmatched on the planet," he said. Carter, who manages the India Internet & Ecommerce ETF (INQQ), underscored the significance of India's technology investments in particular. Carter's INQQ ETF focuses on Indian e-commerce and internet companies, targeting growth in the country's digital economy. "No other country on the planet has anything like this in terms of a digital foundation for their entire economy," Carter added.
