SpaceX workers got stuck on a barge with a spaceship full of toxic fuel in 2010, a new book reports. After the Dragon spaceship's first flight, a SpaceX crew retrieved it from the ocean. A Dragon spaceship approaches the International Space Station with astronauts on board in 2021. That's why SpaceX workers immediately checked for leaks, according to the book. The Dragon spaceship went on to become a staple of NASA's programming, transporting supplies and astronaut crews to and from the International Space Station.

Russian troops are crashing into anti-tank barriers in Kursk, Russia. AdvertisementRussian commanders are misplacing anti-tank barriers, which their own troops and civilians are crashing into, according to several Russian hardliners. The Russian military bloggers, who've long been an important source of independent information about the Russian military, complained that "dozens" of military personnel and civilians had lost their lives crashing into the barriers, according to the ISW. AdvertisementRussian commanders have, throughout the war, faced criticism from Russia's military bloggers for what they say are inept decisions that have hampered Russia's campaign in Ukraine. Hedge funds that recently flocked into Chinese stocks on stimulus hopes just did a 180. The net selling was 1.4 times larger than the previous record, Goldman said. "As NDRC underwhelmed, hedge funds rapidly sold off Chinese equities," Goldman strategists said in a note to clients on Wednesday. "Hedge funds not only unwound their long positions but added shorts to their books as well, with long sells being double the amount of short sells." Hedge funds had only just piled into the developing market at a record pace one week before , as Beijing's rare stimulus blitz unleashed newfound optimism.

Gen Z is increasingly proving to be the entrepreneurial generation, with the majority wanting to set up their own business — but one expert warns it might not be as straightforward as they think. In contrast, just over a third of Gen X and Boomers said there were fewer opportunities to start their own businesses when they were young because of pressures to pursue traditional education and career paths. Gen X were born between 1965 and 1980, while baby boomers were born following World War II, between 1946 and 1964. "Gen Z is proving to be the most entrepreneurial generation yet, and it's no coincidence," Sam Jones, Dragon's Den star and founder of Gener8, said in the survey. "Instead, entrepreneurship appeals to Gen Z as it offers more control over their work and life, opportunities for innovation, and the potential to leverage their technological skills.

Sony on Tuesday announced the PlayStation 5 Pro, an upgraded version of its gaming console that will launch on Nov. 7 for $700. The arrival of Sony's refreshed PS5 console comes amid a global decline in console sales. The PS5 Pro features "advanced" ray tracing, a technique in computer graphics that simulates how light bounces off reflective surfaces. Sony said the PS5 Pro features a 2-terabyte solid-state drive, larger than the custom-built 825 GB solid-state drive featured in the PS5. Sony said several games will have "PS5 Pro Enhanced" designation with features that work on the new console.

Roman Pilipey | Afp | Getty ImagesRussia's war on Ukraine could end with the latter being divided into two — like North and South Korea, according to Singapore's former ambassador to Russia, Bilarhari Kausikan. Kausikan said Trump's approach could force Ukraine into a truce — an agreement to stop fighting but not necessarily to end the war, which could lead to a split in Ukraine. Korea is still at war, North and South, legally, but there is an armistice and a divided country. North and South Korea are officially still at war because an armistice was signed in 1953, not a peace treaty. But while increased military spending from Europe will be Trump's goal, it's won't be enough to deter Russia, Kausikan said.

A tactical shift by Ukraine will likely make it even harder for Russia to gain new territory in its invasion, an expert told Business Insider. Riley Bailey, a Russia analyst at the Institute for the Study of War, told BI that Ukraine's defenses will make it "harder for Russian forces to attack head on into entrenched fortified positions. Russia has already struggled to make progress, and these fortifications will likely make its goals even harder to reach. The license could set in motion a long-running effort by Trinidad to boost its gas processing and petrochemical exports, while providing Venezuela with a much-needed extra source of cash. Venezuela, which holds Latin America's biggest gas reserves, and neighboring Trinidad, the region's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter, would complement each other's needs to produce and export gas.
